Fellowship with Word

1stJo1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
When we as christians come to the written word of God for answers or to spend time in study it should always be out of fellowship, with the father and the son.
I just wanted to share some of my testimony as a prelude to some other things I have on my heart to share, I was saved in 1985 in an encounter with the lord similar to the apostle Paul. I was brought up being called catholic with no knowledge of the word of "God" and thus the early summer morning in1985 when the lord came to me, I was at a place that I said I don't know if there is a God, I was not looking for him, nor did I care if he existed. When he revealed himself to me by audibly saying you no what you have to do five times, he did not identify himself or say who he was, but I simply said to him if you are, I guess
I will, that is exactly what I said to whoever was talking to me. I eventually called a woman that worked for me crying uncontrollably, and I kept saying I need to go to church, she wanted to know what is wrong with you, I said I don't know, I need to go to church. By the time the sobbing stopped, my clothes where totally drenched, including my blue jeans, you could wring the moisture out of them, this is how my testimony starts and I say this, not thinking it makes me any greater, it is just that it is my testimony, but it sure does speak of our father's goodness. I said that to say this from the time I had this encounter I have always talked to the lord, just as I do any one else, he started this thing and I found he always responded to me just like he said he would, this is fellowship sweet AS IT IS, the first time I went to church after I was born again, out of my mouth came these words there is something wrong here, I didn't know it at the time but that came out of my heart, because my head was saying why did I say that, the second thing was I made the statement no matter what when the plate come around I am only putting in a dollar, well here again I had to get into my wallet twice, my mind was not the one talking as it did earlier this was out of my heart. When I walked out of the church I was shaking my head, something has happened to me not understanding what had really happened to me in the new birth. The following week I went back to the church and the same thing happened as I started to walk into the church, in my heart I knew there was something wrong in this church, You know I really struggle when I hear and see other Christians and post as they do on these forums, in obvious disregard to the word of God and it's integrity and in fallibleness. The Holy Spirit has never allowed me to go on in such a way as to be in the dark, instead of in the light, now that does not mean that I always caught it right away, as time has come and gone I am aware distinctly as to the heart and the mind of man and their proper relationship in light of the word of God. It was probably within the first thirty day as I was driving down the road the lord said to me you are not believing with your heart, I thought mind I said I thought what does that mean, you will never get an answer from the lord through your mind, he does not dwell in your mind but in your heart or your spirit it means the same. Then I opened the bible and was looking for the word heart and as I found scriptures,I did not see the light for quite awhile because the mind is used to running the show and of course I did not understand that yet, but as you continue in the word of God the holy Spirit will help you remove the butts and eventually the light will come on, for the entrance of the word giveth light, you have to get your mind renewed to the word of God for it will always hinder you from walking in the light of God's word out of your heart.
Here are a few of the things I believe the lord has given me to help others and the foremost problem I see is this:
1: The word of God is not absolute truth, infallible to most it seems to as though they believe it to be conditional.
2: When you don't accept the word as the truth, you will not believe it, most use the word of interpretation in lieu of believing.
3: It seems as though most do not know the witness of the Holy Spirit in their heart bearing witness to the truth.
If you desire to walk in truth as all can you must do it in light of the wisdom of God not man's understanding. Let's look at this scripture as a beginning:
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Pro4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
The promises and wisdom of God are always conditional to man doing his part or being a doer of the word, it is our responsibility, not the Holy Spirit's, he is our helper not our doer.
I intend to do a post on what I believe to believe to be the most important topic in the bible, and that being faith, for some some seem to believe that faith is a gift and they have what they need without doing their part, I believe the word will shed some light on this. If faith is understood in light of the word of God, you can easily put away the foolishness, of all the wrong teachings.
Remember all can walk in the truth, it is man's choice.
