Jobs that might be wrongPosted : 29 Dec, 2010 07:28 PMOk, this is probably a better post for the Moral Standards category, but I'm not sure if that gets as many views. |

Jobs that might be wrongPosted : 29 Dec, 2010 08:48 PMI think this falls under the heading of "being led by the Spirit". If a person feels a job is killing them inside, or is having to compromise their own integrity or morality, or if the Holy Spirit is telling them this is not right, then it is time to start looking for something else. |

Jobs that might be wrongPosted : 30 Dec, 2010 02:30 PMGood points. And I certainly don't have a problem with a restuarant that sells beer and such. But what about being the brand manager at the beer company who has to think of the slogans to sell the beer? And the executive at the advertising agency in charge of making the television ad for the beer? I don't have a problem with having a beer at dinner, but would I want to be the one in charge of promoting it on a national level? Just my rambling thoughts.... |

Jobs that might be wrongPosted : 30 Dec, 2010 03:33 PMA Christian can't be a member of the military, seeing how the overwhelming majority of those in the military are lost (I met one Christian in over 6 yrs in) and the gov't is leading the way for the NWO. A Christian cannot be a part of an unjust "war." Can a Christian take part in "collateral damage?" |

Jobs that might be wrongPosted : 30 Dec, 2010 03:50 PMTruthSlinger: I certainly have no problems with conscientious objectors. And there are times where military service can bring up questions, I've been there. And even more so now when the government is outsourcing a lot of activities. So that can certainly makes it way into the grey area. |

Jobs that might be wrongPosted : 31 Dec, 2010 05:24 AMI have to agree with trucker. If driving a beer truck was the only job available in order to be able to provide for my family, I'd just have to do it. As I was unloading their order, I'd be tellin' 'em what Jesus was doing in my life. |

Jobs that might be wrongPosted : 31 Dec, 2010 08:26 AMI need to believe in what I do to be motivated to do the job well. So there are some jobs that would be wrong for me. Someone else might have a different perspective or work for a better company and be fine with them. |
