A SHIPWRECK will take you where you don't want, keep you longer than you want and cost you more than you want to pay. STOP doing the sins in our lives! 1) Sin will take you Farther than what you want to go. Sin will not only effect you but your family & friends. It will shipwreck everything. 2) Sin will keep you Longer than what you wanted to stay. 3) Sin will Cost you more than what you want to pay. Sin pulls you away from God and pulls you away from the people that God wanted you to touch. ***HEED THE WARNINGS! **DON'T GET INTO SIN! ***DON'T DROP YOUR GUARD! ***WATCH OUT FOR SIN! Satan is waiting for a crack, a trapdoor to slip in and deposit sin. This is a WARNING. God does not tempt us with evil-Satan does this. James1:13-15 We are tempted and enticed because sin is fun. When we are tempted to sin and turn away from it, we should rejoice and not feel guilty. We were only tempted but did NOT sin. As you DO sin, you must run from it and REPENT. ICor 13:10. God will give us a way out of the sin so it doesn't grow into a full grown sin and we then shipwreck our lives. **To AVOID and RESIST Sin: 1)Stay ALERT: Realize we can shipwreck our lives. Take careful notice of things that come into our lives. We CAN shipwreck our lives if we don't stay alert and watch ourselves. I Peter 5:8-9 Be alert, be self-controlled because the devil walks around seeking to DEVOUR us. 2) Stay IN: Stay in God's Word and stay in tune with God. We must have personal bible reading, personal prayer time. We must stay in church and stay in corporate worship. 3) Stay CLOSE: Stay close to God's people. James 5:16 Confess your sins to each other. Confess to people that love God and love you. Pray for each other for healing-healing of the soul, spirit and body. Hebrews 3:12-13 Don't have an unbelieving heart. We can stop this by encouraging each other daily. We all need spiritual friendships for encouragement. 4) Stay AWAY: Flee evil desires. Flee sin. Stay away from sin. Co-habitation is sin. Sex before marriage is sin. Many things society accepts is sin. We tend to "walk the edge" of sin. We don't want to shipwreck our lives, so we just "play" with sin. We need to flee sin TOTALLY or we will hit the iceburg like the Titantic did and shipwreck our lives. This is a war we are in and we have to be strong. We need Christian friends, fellow soildiers of Jesus Christ to help us. Repeat after me: **STAY ALERT **STAY IN **STAY CLOSE **STAY AWAY Amen :prayingm: Post Reply

Sin always is a choice...If you don't put yourself into a compromising situation, you won't have to make a choice...By knowing yourself in Christ and your weaknesses you can overcome by refraining from the place of temptation.
