Posted : 25 Nov, 2010 08:02 AM @ Everyone: I happen to be a truck driver; In the past i had driven mainly East of the Mississippi,and I had been to California 2times,Washington St.1. I have found throughout my travels that there is a very disturbing amount of professing American Christians living in fear. A lot are afraid of dying,yet as believers is not death a good thing,seeing it takes us from this life into the realm of Yeshua.. So then what are American Christians afraid of.. 1.Many are afraid to share the Gosple with others,Why? 2.Christians are afraid of dying,Why? 3.Many are afraid of being poor and without things. Many forsake and seperate themselves when they gather together. Others fear embracing those that think and believe differently then themselves,such as Catholics,Seventh Day Adventists ect. I am not saying to embrace the beliefs of the cultists, Musilims,Hindus,Krishna's or Jehovahs/False Witnesses; But to witness to them of who Yeshua is and what He is like.. I find American Christians afraid to admit that they do not Love Yeshua or even other believers. Since 'Perfect love casts out fear' 1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Where does this fear originate and what could be done about this. I hope that everyone has a Blessed and safe weekend. He used to drive cross country but after taking a wife with two kids took a lower paying local route to be home every day. He drives Visalia to San Fransisco every night. Last night he called me all shaken up. A six car wreck happened right in front of him on a hwy 99 (three lanes ) He went to the fog line but refused to go to the dirt with cars spinning around he drove thru the middle without a scratch. What is werid is a mutual Christian friend called him up about 3 mintues before and told him,"be careful, there are alot of wrecks on 99" Thought you'd appreciate that story....like your post ...will comment after my chores are done. :prayingm:Happy Thanksgiving :prayingf::eat: Post Reply

Posted : 25 Nov, 2010 10:34 AM I think alot of christians fear the unknown. for myself, I dont fear death...the only thing i think about when i think of my own death would be the people I would leave behind...and their pain. there is much work to be done here and I wouldnt want to go "prematurely" but hey...God is in control. FEAR Some see with their eyes, believe the lies. Not looking with the heart, from faith they part. Jesus, the bread to trust, the world, only a crust. However, on the other hand, we are all different parts of the same body doing different jobs as called to. Yeshua may reach the .001% of people you and I can't reach with Jesus. ....just my humble opinion. Post Reply

Paul tells us that to die is to gain, and as Believers, we know this to be true and we are comforted by it. However, until you actually face the reality of death at your door, when death is imminent, the fear of the unknown, even when it is known, or the fear of dying, how will it feel, will I suffer, can and does become evident in some people as they are dying, even those with great faith. I know this is only a hypothetical situation. How about this: You are working and need to pay bills,Yet you know of another believer who has been out of work for over a year and at the moment cannot pay their own bills,and faces eviction. Would you trust Yeshua to provide for your needs, and Would you help this person,or turn your back on them. Then what if Yeshua does not provide,would you help out another,or just be concerned for yourself. Only a hypothetical question. Agape' and Charis: St.George ps: Remember Yeshua uses these situations in order for the believers to see what is within their own hearts. Ha-Satan uses these times to seperate the believers from trusting Yeshua,and from also being a Blessing to those around them. Post Reply
