Admin	Talents=passions Posted : 20 Nov, 2010 07:15 PM Matthew25:14-30 So again the question of passion. We are all equipped by talents. My question is, do talents have anything to do with passion? For example, my coworker, he can code, and all his life path always refers him back to programming. But, he never enjoys to be a programmer tho what he is doing primarily just basically only do the codes. Have anyone watched the movie "Megamind" (it's hilarious btw), the story was about the superhero (equipped with all talents that the superman has), yet in the end he chose to be a musician, which he was totally not talented in. He was talented in being a superhero but he didn't enjoy it. I know it's just a movie but I believe that there are many cases like this. Your thoughts? Post Reply
View Profile History	Talents=passions Posted : 20 Nov, 2010 07:48 PM My thoughts: I have had a number of interests in my life and different jobs. Looking back I have noticed one thing to be constant. As soon as I learn it and am better at it than the average person and feel as if I have peaked out or gone as far as I can, then it bores me and am looking for something new to accomplish. But if you are asking if talents=passion and want a Bible verse ...well here ya go! Eph 2:10 " For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Post Reply

Passion is fleeting, one minute you can have it, the next it can be gone. Passion can lead you down the right road or the wrong road. Passion is a feeling that does not care for you. It can lead you to a place then abandon you. Passion is a 'feeling' and therefore cannot be trusted. Passion is used even by devils to lead some astray. In summary : Passion can be used for good or evil. That is why we should always be asking for Godly Passion. Then you will understand the true meaning of God giving you the " Desires of your heart." View Profile History	Talents=passions Posted : 21 Nov, 2010 08:49 AM God Gives Talents. They are God's Gift to us. each one of us are given different talents. Whether we use them or not is up to us. Passion is that Spark that is kindled in us and fanned by accomplishments into a Passion (a Fever) that "Drives" us to use that Talent. That "Fire" can die down and be extinguished over time or it can "consume" us and burn us up in it. As Two says Passion can and is what the dark one uses against us, but Passion is not of itself a "bad" thing; it can be a very good thing. You have to see whether the fruits of your Passion are good or bad and then decide if it is a good thing. If it is an Obssession...well that is bad. So...Talents do not nesscessarily mean Passion, but Passion needs some kind of Talent to be "passionate" about. Post Reply
