A Intermission from 'Deep Biblical Thought'

I just checked...I. am so excited! About a month ago I collected over 20 Digger Pine cones from the coast range mountains along with some juniper seeds and wild cottonwood cuttings. I had to bust up the pine cones looking for the seeds the squirrels missed and the weevils hadn't bored. I planted about thrity No junipers have sprouted (yet), the dog ate the cottonwood cuttings but I have two for sure maybe three digger pines sprouting ; it is hard to tell cause there are alot of weeds sprouting also and don't accidently want to kill a pine tree by pulling out the weeds cause they look alot alike at this stage. Woo Woo! I am so :excited: I could just :dancingp: !!!

On a graver note; I put out a old mattress and the puppy went bonsai on it...Yeap you guess it ...foam scattered all over the yard! But he is still on my good side ever since I taught him to chase the cats out of the house. He takes his new found job quite seriously *crouching in the shadows awaiting the stealthy intruder". Now I can leave my doors open all the time....if he would only chase the flies out! :purpleangel:

Although all the above is true; THIS NEEDS TO BE QUALIFIED AS A BIBLICAL QUESTION to be in this section. So here it is:

How many bible verse analogies can you recognize in the above narrative?

Two,

Ive discovered that it takes 14-18 months for juniper seeds to mature, and even then only one in a hundred will germinate. So, youve got a tough Ho going (no pun intended and no reference to any woman of ill repute).

I am curious as to what verses are found for your story.

Steve

PS How about

"you reap what you sow"

"seeds that fell on rocks...fell by the wayside...etc."

"let sleeping dog lie"

or

"let lying dogs sleep"

I am curious as to how one, who cannot possibly apprehend the Eternal Mind that controls all things, can take "an intermission" from life? I mean, is it like we say, "Hey, God, I want to take a break", and the lessons, the controversies, the pains and difficulties, even the disease which may be ravaging our sin-afflicted bodies, just "STOPS"..?

Ugh. I hate Bible quiz.

No pine and puppy mentioned in the Bible, so bring out the answers! :goofball:

@JesusLoves

Arch & Saved got a couple. Probably the only left would be the cat ; ' prowling around looking to devour' and ' staying alert' like the dog and the whole idea of the ' thief sneaking in at night'.

I really expected to hear from you about "rice recipes" what happened???
