He places it in us as a witness. Whenever God has done something powerful in someones life and they start telling you the story God will always revisit it with his Spirit and the hearer will feel the witness. It is the same thing that goes on when you are under an anointed meeting. Gods spirit comes in and you feel his witness. God does this all the time with us as we witness for him to others, whether they are saved or not. You can began to tell people how God saved you or healed and delievered you and God will move on them if they have ears given to hear by God...We shouldnt fight this miracle given by God and force people to believe. They have ears or not, its simple. ,,, You can see it in the eyes of the worst sinner when you talk to him. I use this as guidance to know if they are a sheep that is just lost or not. This will make you 100 times more effective at witnessing to people. Even the disciples said ," We speak of the things of which we have heard and seen". They new God would revisit the stories they told The same can be said for the opposit. Hear me now! When someone tells you something that God said or did and you feel nothing at all,,, humm, hummm. Dont feel guilty, They might be making it up or its thier imagination, whatever. people do lie though. This is one of the remarkable things God does in and through our lives,,,, isnt he wonderful.... I guess they try to make themselves look good. The Spirit will only witness to the TRUTH. For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but by measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. I know some who need to read 2 Corinthians again and "see". Don't people realize that by trying to make themselves appear spiritual, they are actually becoming less spiritual ? It is a waste to exalt oneself to be accepted. Only God can do that if he chooses. The Spirit will bear witness to truth and will not stay in an unclean vessel. If you are walking in truth you will discern the difference. It is amazing how you can witness by your words or the the things you've experienced. When we walk through a situation with God, it just might be for someone else's edification. strawberi50 Post Reply

Witness of the Spirit I thank GOD,ABBA, my Father, through the Spirit which bears witness and provides discernment, teaches, comforts, and directs/guides me into all truth. Yes, quite often: I have received that witness immediately while a person is talking. Yes, I agree when I look into a persons eyes much is reveal being a window to their soul or what/whom? is dwelling in there (one of the disadvantages of internet). Sometimes, I don't: I am at something or doing something and find myself inquirering of the LORD, why am I not getting the witness? I know my steps are ordered by Him. Did I take a wrong turn? I am listening and watching; absorbing but not understanding the purpose of a story, event. or a reveiw of something. Then, a few days later, months, or even years...it happens, it will be brought back to my rememberance with the witness. Of NOW, "speak it", "share it", "live it", "it's your weapon/WORD for this purpose", etc...WOW, can that be exciting in the Spirit! Honestly, Sometimes: I am clogged, cluttered, and littered with toxins. Clogged with sins of various kinds: judgmental, lofty, proud, spoiled, bratty, angry, bitter, offended,etc... :prayingf:(Repentence and forgiveness to get the WORD):applause: Cluttered is where the cares of this world: my family, my home, my situation... notice the word "MY" is so over grown in "my" mind, "my" heart, "my" soul, and "my" spirit; it is just choking out the WORD :prayingf:(GOD is faithful to bring forth some "Hedgeclippers or harvest to burn the chaff away):applause: Littered with toxins occurs when I have listened to or read an article by a talebearer, gossip, backbiter, or simply an offended saint still trying to process the work of the LORD in their life. It may go down real sweet; being the I love and admire my companion but it poisons and makes me sick. (I was not to pick up the offense but to be able to look into the blind spot and help with more information or just be a comfort through it. In the meantime, I end up missing good WORDs for me and others, and the HOLY SPIRIT is all over me, chastening me in GOD's love. Ouch! ALLELUIA!) Do you all have this happen or is it just me? I looked up 2 Corinthians, that is 12 chapters, you want something specific with that homework assignment? My eye did catch the WORDs in red in chapter 12: 9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Just above that in verse 7, Paul speaks of a thorn in His flesh and prayer to remove it. Just a little note about my prayers: I asked the LORD for years to make me into a womann which is perfect, quiet, sweet, demure, quiet, honey dripping, acceptable, quiet, favorable to all, godly charming, quiet, humble, peaceful, quiet, graceful, lovely, all the fruit be plentiful..you get it right? Forgive me, if I have gotten the wrong idea of what it is. As school begins this year, I am beginning to question God again as to why I cannot feel well enough to teach. I know that one day I'll be able to witness to how He has brought me through my trials. I have been waiting since November of last year on a decision of my disability. God has provided an apt. for me to live in without having to pay rent! The apt. company is paying me some each month to help me pay my electricity! I have been able to get almost all of my prescription medications at no cost, and some of my doctors are seeing me without charging anything! GOD HAS CERTAINLY TAKEN CARE OF MY EVERY NEED!! I even can get wireless internet at no cost - someone living close to me has it, and my laptop picks up enough signal!!! THANK GOD THAT I CAN CONTINUE TO "TALK" WITH MY FRIENDS ON THIS SITE WHEN I GET LONELY!!! I thank God for helping me to apply tough love to my son, who is 23. I'LL BE SO THANKFUL WHEN MY SON COMES BACK TO GOD. I'LL BE HAPPY WHEN HE CALLS ME TO TELL ME THAT I AM DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR HIM. (As of the past 2 weeks, I have not gotten a call from him. I really miss hearing his voice, and I miss his hugs!) PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD WILL BRING SOMETHING GOOD FROM ALL OF THIS HEARTACHE! So much of what ya'll have added is so true,,, When I was young I use to worry whether or not i was blaspheming when I questioned someones story or miracle they we're telling me. I didnt want to be wrong in my judgement,,, Satan would try to use this against me,,,, After many years of seeing and feeling this over and over I began to learn that God would revisit his miracles and deliverances when they were told. No one is exempt from feeling it. A worst of sinners would sit there in tears or be very quite listening,,, you would just know in your spirit that God was there and visiting the recap. This is so amazing about our God,,, Yes ,,, the spirit does bear witness with our spirit that we are and they are the sons of God. This has nothing to do with whether someone is living right or not,,, like was said,,,, the sheep will know his voice,,,, So if you dont feel something,,, it either wasnt for you or it wasnt God,,,, PROBABLY THE LATTER,,,, THANK YOU FATHER FOR YOUR MOST WONDERFUL GIFTS,,, Post Reply

Posted : 14 Aug, 2008 08:25 AM SCJ1985, After reading your post, my heart just ached, tears of love came to my eyes, and tremedous compassion and mercy just flooded me for your struggles and rejoiced at your faith and courage. I tried to e-mail privately but I am younger by just a smidge then your criteria. Funny perhaps, someone else can provide a witness. I use to homeschool my 8 but I have always been amazed at the wonderous love teachers pour into children. I know what it is like to not be able to do the passion in your soul. But according to your profile, your tall, so, you could crush me. :ROFL: I suppose I could have helped by putting a title "HINDERANCES to the WITNESS of the SPIRIT" before I mentioned the 3 of them.
