Revelation 13: 15, Those Who Reject the Image of the Beast Will Be Killed
Revelation 13: 15 says "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."
We have to go back to earlier verses in Revelation 13 to make much sense out of this statement.
Verse 12 says " And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed." "He" refers to the second beast of Revelaton 13: 11. "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." This second beast has been called the False Prophet, but is more than one person. It is a collective as well as an office of False Prophet. It can be seen as the church in apostasy or in false doctrines, after the falling away of II Thessalonians 2: 3.
Who then is the first beast? The first beast is complex. From verse two of Revelation 13, it would appear that this first beast is a composite of the three of the beasts seen in Daniel 7, the lion, the bear and the leapord. As such, the first beast could be a world power which is influenced by the kingdoms represented by the lion, bear and leopard, perhaps the British Empire, the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany. But wait, Revelation 13: 3 tells us "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." The description of the first beast as one having a deadly wound that was healed is repeated in verse 12.
The nation of Israel received a deadly wound in about 70 A.D. at the hands of the Roman Army when Jerusalem fell and was destroyed to a great extent. That deadly wound was healed in 1948 when Israel became a nation.
In verse 12 we see that "... he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.' "He" again is the second beast, the False Prophet, and the collective church in apostasy. The church in apostasy and or the False Prophet is said to cause the earth and those who. live on it to worship the first beast, that complex beast which is also the nation of Israel.
Lets look at several more scriptures to help explain what might be involved in the second beast causing those who refuse to worship the image of the first beast whose deadly wound was healed to be killed. It says the first beast had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Zechariah 13: 8-9 says "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God."
The fire could be the tribulation. I think Zechariah 13: 8-9 is a very important general principle stating how God operates. The "land" in this text refers to those who claim to be the people of God.
In Ezekiel 5: 1-5 supports Zechariah 13: 8-9 and in verse 12 it says "A third part of thee shall die with the
pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee: and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw a sword after them."
Its the third part who is scattered into all the winds with a sword drawn after them who are the myrterded
Multitude. The Multitude are found in Revelation 7: 9, 13-14.
"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands...And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14. And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." The Multitude is the church.
In Revelation 9: 18-19 it says "By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
19. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt."
Deuteronomy 32: 35-36 fits in here. "To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left."
There are none shut up, that is, in jail, and none left, that is, none left alive.
Hebrews 10: 30 may hark back to Deuteronomy 32: 35-36. "For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people."
And I Peter 4: 17 says "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"
Matthew 24: 9-11: "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."
Luke 21: 16 says: "And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death." "Some" has been added to the King James English because its not in the Greek Textus Receptus."
Luke 12: 11: "And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:"
Synagogues is Strong's number 4864, meaning "an assemblage of persons, a Jewish synagogue, by analogy, a Christian church, assembly,
congregation, synagogue." Sunagoge in the Greek, or synagogue,
can mean a Christian church. Magistrates probably refers to judges, to whom Christians are brought on some kind of charge, such as blasphemy under the Noahide laws or hate speech laws.
John 16: 2 says "They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service."
Then, in Luke 17: 34-37 and Matthew 24: 28 there are two people; one shall be taken and the other left. The apostles asked Christ where they were to be taken to and he answered, more clearly in Matthew 24: 28, "For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together." Are the "eagles" really
vultures? The people taken are not taken in the dispensationalist
rapture before the Tribulation, but they are taken as part of the
persecution of Christians in the Tribulation.
In Luke 12: 11 and John 16: 2 the churches are said to be involved in the persecution of Christians, and in Luke 21: 16 Christians are betrayed by brethren, friends and kinfolks, and are killed.
But does Scripture give us any reason why judgment might fall upon Christians, or many Christians, in the end times, or during the tribulation, which might result in Christian martyrdom? Yes, there are such scriptures.
II Thessalonians 2: 3 says "Let no man deceive you by any means: for
that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and
that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
I Timothy 4: 1-2 says "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the
latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing
spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2.Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a
hot iron;"
II Timothy 4: 3-4 says "For the time will come when they will not
endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4.And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be
turned unto fables."
Then, II Peter 2: 1-3 says "But there were false prophets also among
the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who
privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that
bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the
way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make
merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not,
and their damnation slumbereth not."
In the classical dispensationalist view of the Tribulation, the Church is raptured off earth
before things get rough, and then God turns to deal with the Jews, to save them in mass. The pre-tribulation rapture is more than an unscruptural teaching about the time when Christ will appear. Its is also involved in the refusal of classical dispensationalism to accept the transformation of ethnic Israel into Israel reborn in Christ. Christ says in John 10: 16 "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." There is one fold, not two folds as the dispensationalists have it, one being ethnic Israel, i.e., Jews, and the other the so called church, with the Jews being the chosen people.
And those who follow the rapture theory are trying to climb into the sheepfold by the wrong way. John 10: 1 says "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." The rapture believer is not wearing the proper garment to enter. That garment is one's identity in Christ, who is spiritual Israel.
So Revelation 13: 15 "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed" can be interpreted to mean that those who reject the image of the Beast whose deadly wound was healed will be killed.

Halfback, do you actually believe what you're reading and writing here? To believe that the NATION of Israel is the beast of Rev 13 is insane!
Your words -->"The nation of Israel received a deadly wound in about 70 A.D. at the hands of the Roman Army when Jerusalem fell and was destroyed to a great extent.
The church in apostasy and or the False Prophet is said to cause the earth and those who. live on it to worship the first beast, that complex beast which is also the nation of Israel."
First you want to take Paul's account of the nation of Israel in the book of Romans and replace it with the Church, then you want to take John's vision of the beast in the book of Revelation and call it the nation of Israel. Crazy! What do you do with the 200+ verses that mention the "God of Israel" or the "Holy One of Israel"? Does God become the God of the beast, the Holy One of the beast of Rev 13? Keep Israel, Israel. Don't mess with the Apple of His eye.

Halfback:
Unless you devote your life to understand of the prophecies that has not been fulfilled and where to place them in a roadmap in what happens when, don't waste your time. I am not asking you to ignore prophecies, the wise already understand this already, the wise are ones that have been studying prophecies for the last 10 years. Not the ones prior to 1997. this last generation that we are living only. The truth is here today. but many still don't understand or fear what is going to happen.
He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches; He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:11
Today, the seal of words in the scroll of Daniel has been revealed to us. This makes all things revealed to us in the past 10 years as void and is useless for us Living in this Last Generation!
Bind up the testimony seal the law among my disciples. Isaiah 8:16
"The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true; but keep the vision secret, for it pertains to many days in the future." Daniel 8:26
But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." Daniel 12:4
Rev:1
1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. Revelation 1: 1-3
And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near Revelation 22:10
Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. There still are 20 prophecies that still has to be fulfilled, before Christ comes. They have been revealed to us to warn us and prepare us for his coming.
Matthew 24:34
We should be telling others the gospel until he comes and know the end of times for others in the right order.
If you wish to know them now, I can email you or you can visit my website at www.thechristiananswer. There is over 400 pages for you to read. Don't trust me or anyone else trust God in his truth the holy bible!
God means what he says and says what he means!
Revelation Without Responsibility
Given all of these commands that apply to God's servants to whom all of this was shown, is it not strange that the interpretations of most prophecy teachers assign them to someone else such as believing Jews or people left behind, leaving nothing for God's real servants to obey and be blessed by during the events that are predicted?
A perfect example of this is the pre-tribulation rapture teaching. It would have you believe that all faithful Christians
will be in heaven before the first seal of Revelation even happens, making its instructions and predictions completely inapplicable to us. (No wonder I get so many emails from Christians telling me to stop being distracted by prophecy and
just preach the Gospel, not realizing they have effectively asked me to censor or at least ignore nearly one third of the
Bible.) If it seems inconsistent to you that God would give his end times servants a vision of the future with instructions
that they were to keep, only to take them off the earth before any of it happens, then I encourage you to follow your instincts and continue searching for an interpretation that does not have that inconsistency.
Conclusion
The riddle of the confused state of Bible prophecy teachings is solved. Christian interpreters have overlooked many
verses, some of which are quotes from Jesus (whose every word they should carefully be considering if they are his follower).
His words contain the guidelines and instructions that must be followed in order to understand the sealed prophecies.
Revelation finally puts the prophecies in order and gives you actions for survival through them all until Jesus
comes. Merely being a Christian is not enough to understand or survive the prophecies, and ironically brings along many
Scripture-breaking paradigms that act as barriers to complete, proper understanding. When it comes to any subject, the view that is the most believed or most popular is not necessarily the right one as one would assume. Truth is not decided by majority or consensus. Given all the Christian confusion over Bible prophecy, it should come as no surprise that this truism holds true here, too. Let literally-read, non-allegorized Scripture be your guide to the truth, rather than what is popular or what you have always believed or been taught, and you will be one of the wise few who God promised would understand and escape what is coming in the end times.
Revelation. The timeline includes potential years of fulfillment and instructions on what God expects you, as one of his
present or future faithful servants, to do.
How the Antichrist Really Takes Control
There is so much wild speculation on how the Antichrist comes to power. Some think he will parallel the 3 year ministry of Jesus in every way to be a perfect counterfeit. Others expect him to be some charismatic figure already in obvious power today. Such ideas sound reasonable until you understand the literal fulfillments of Wormwood and the fall of Babylon coming that give rise to the Antichrist.
From WWI we inherited the League of Nations, which failed to grab enough power to do any good. After WWII we
conceived the United Nations, which certainly has had more power, but not the power to stop wars, let alone solve world
problems. In fact, prophecy clearly tells us that WWIII is coming. But this time, something will arise as a direct result
that grabs enough power to stop wars and also bring many solutions to the worldat a huge price. The breakdown of
civilization from Wormwood's passage combined with the ravages of World War III will at last create such a dire survival emergency for the human race that the majority of nations will consent to being ruled by global government. This government, known as the Beast, will have the power to force everyone to be marked for commerce and as a pledge of allegiance and worship to the head of this government who claims to be God on earth.
The claim to be God along with proof in the form of miracles, signs and wonders is the kicker, of course. Nevertheless,
it is clear from the 6th trumpet war and Daniel 11's mention of the King of the North being troubled by tidings from
the North (Russia) and the East (China), that the Antichrist will not have full submission, although clearly a majority of
the nations at first. Russia, China and her allies as heirs to America's crown will have the most to lose in submitting to the
Antichrist and look to not do so without a fight, which they will lose. With America destroyed and then Russia and China
defeated, no one will be able to resist the Antichrist until the Messiah comes.
Daniel's 70 Weeks & The Great Tribulation
The Bible's Central Prophecy
The 70 Weeks Prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 is unquestionably a key prophecy of the Bible. It gives the timing of both the
First and Second Coming of Israel's Messiah. It predicted the construction of the Second Temple and predicts the morning
and evening sacrifices of the Third Temple and the Antichrist who will stop them and inhabit the temple. It is from
the 70th week of Daniel, as interpreted by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse, that the term Great Tribulation is derived.
Simply put, without this prophecy a complete Revelation Roadmap could not be constructed.
Daniel 9:24-27 (HCSB) 24 Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy cityto bring the rebellion to an end, to put a stop to sin, to wipe away injustice, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place. 25 Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince will
be seven weeks and 62 weeks. It will be rebuilt with a plaza and a moat, but in difficult times. 26 After those 62 weeks the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the coming prince will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come with a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations are decreed. 27 He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the
middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator. If You Are Unfamiliar With Daniel's 70 Weeks
Not surprisingly, my Revelation Roadmap is based on the 70
the Week of Daniel. Therefore, understanding the roadmap requires familiarity with this key prophecy. As it is so familiar and adequately explained by many other sources, I will skip
explaining it in great detail here to allow more space for insights on other prophecies not found so easily elsewhere.
For those who are totally unfamiliar with the 70 Weeks or why the 70th Week must be after a time gap and yet future, I can recommend some free articles by Thomas Ice. They explain much of the 70th Week from a literal approach, and highlight the problems with the allegorizers' approach (Preterism). (I'm a firm believer in that we can and must learn
from everyone if we truly are diligently seeking the truth on a subject, regardless of our prejudices against views a teacher may hold on other points.)
The 70 Weeks of Daniel by Thomas Ice at Rapture Ready
 www.raptureready.com/featured/ice/ttcol.html (scroll down to 27. 70 Weeks of Daniel I through 38. 70 Weeks of
Daniel XII)
My Own View on the 70 Weeks
As stated above, I do not agree 100% with everything Ice teaches. Here, then, is a brief overview of the defining points of my 70 Weeks understanding that may or may not differ from those of Thomas Ice. The reasons why I believe each are expounded in subsequent chapters.
 Time Gap Between 69th and 70th Week: Jesus said that the AoD, which is part of the 70th Week, is yet future. This
means it did not immediately follow the 69th week already. Therefore, I see a clear gap allowed for and required
between the 69th and 70th week and Scripture itself delineates it. Not only that, but several of the Six Prophetic Purpose Clauses of the 70 Weeks from verse 24 that Ice talks about are not literally fulfilled yet.
 70th Week for End Times: Daniel 11:35-45 states that the Antichrist shall take over Jerusalem in the time of the
end until God's wrath completes things. Daniel 8:9-17 identifies the Antichrist in Jerusalem ending the sacrifices and
committing the abomination in the time of the end. Thus, contrary to what Preterists teach, we are still in the time
gap. This requires a yet future 70th week with a wicked ruler seizing Jerusalem, stopping the sacrifices and setting up
an abominable statue as Antiochus Epiphanes IV did to foreshadow or partially fulfill the 70th Week.
 Are Sabbath Year Cycles: The 70 weeks are not just any set of seven years, but as anyone who has studied the Torah might suppose, are groups of seven years which end in a Sabbath year, just as the Sabbath year cycle does. The Bible and history support this.
 He Who Makes the Covenant is the Antichrist: This can only be the Antichrist, because Daniel 11:31-36 describes
the one who committed the first AoD as speaking despicable things against God, something Jesus would never do.
 The Seven-year Covenant Is With Ten Kings, Not Israel: Amazingly, there is not one plain verse to support that
the covenant confirmed with the many is between the Antichrist and Israel. The meaning of the word HaRabim
translated the many in Daniel 9:27 is ambiguous and inconsistently used elsewhere in Daniel for peoples other than Israel (Dan 11:33, 39; 12:3). There is, however, good support that the covenant mentioned in Daniel 9 is the same as the secret covenant between the Antichrist and the ten rulers detailed in Revelation 17 for destroying America and
dominating the world in her place.
 Confirmation of the Covenant Not Public: There is no sign that the start of the seven-year covenant is a public
event that we can watch for and respond to. To the contrary, Jesus pointed to an event 3 years later as the visible signal of the GT: the AoD. If it were a conspiracy between the Antichrist and these other men of power to rule together after destroying America as Revelation 17 describes, then by no means would it be public. This could explain why Jesus did not tell us to watch for any treaty as the earliest warning sign.
 Abomination of Desolation Was and Will Be a Statue at the Temple (Image of the Beast): There is surprisingly
much confusion on the AoD considering that Daniel clearly references two fulfillments of this, including one historical
fulfillment by Antiochus (Dan 11:31) and one for the time of the end (Dan 9:27=Dan 8:12-17=Dan 12:9-11). It
seems safe to say that this will be the Image of the Beast that the False Prophet commands to be made of the Antichrist for worship (and he also brings to life) given that Antiochus, as the type of the Antichrist, put up a statue of
Zeus/Jupiter for his AoD.
 The 69th Week Predicts the Start of Jesus' Ministry, Not the End: Daniel 9:25's 69 weeks until Messiah the
prince are interpreted by some to have ended with Jesus' death or triumphal entry on Palm Sunday. But Daniel 9 says
he died after 69 weeks, not at. He was publicly proclaimed by John the Baptist to be the Lamb of God at his baptism
so this is a better natural fit for the first fulfillment of 69 weeks until Messiah the Prince. We will see later that the
historic Sabbath year cycle confirms this. As does the Gospel account of when Jesus read from Isaiah in the synagogue
at Nazareth proclaiming it was a Sabbath year right after his baptism by John the Baptist.
 No 360-day Prophetic Calendar Basis: You may have seen date setting based on turning the 70 Weeks into years
multiplied by a 360 day year prophetic calendar value which supposedly allows you to pinpoint the very day of Jesus' triumphal entry (usually in some year after 30 AD). The major problem with this is that there is no such thing
as a prophetic calendar used or defined in Scripture, but this belief comes from allegorizing the literal 1260 days and
42 months of the Tribulation because they do not presently fit our 365-day year reality (but they will literally fit
after Wormwood passes).
 The 69th Week is a Dual Prophecy: The 69 weeks not only predict the year by which Jesus would be cut off, but also
give us the literal week into his ministry after which he was cut off. This would explain why the word seven alone
was used without a qualifier such as years. Michael Rood's 70 Week Ministry of the Messiah series first alerted
me to this possibility. It provided the answer to the problem I was having with a 3 BC birth of Messiah, a 30 year age
at start of his ministry in a historically confirmed Sabbath year, and a death in 30 AD followed by exactly 40 years of
cessation of miracles in the temple service before the destruction of it in 70 AD (as the Talmud records). Those time
points leave only room for a 1-year ministry. It appears that the traditional 3 year ministry is based on two misinterpreted or mistaken verses in the Book of John, which seem to refer to the Feast of Passover but do not
 The GT is only the Second Half of the 70th
Week: You always hear about the seven-year tribulation. It often makes me cringe when I hear it because in six places the Bible gives it a length of 3 years.
Hope you get a better understand, now let all us spread the Good News in a loving christ like way!i
And Praise him everyday, because he is getting excited because our God is getting ready to close his book forever and Jesus is ready for his bridge. Are we going to be ready to receive his coming? His first coming didn't!
:yay::applause::dancingp:
Just to give you a headstart: watch for this next prophecy to be fulfilled!
The next major prophecy will be the Middle East War that is described in Psalm 83, Zech 12, and Isaiah 17. Israel will win in a single day with Gods help as in past wars (Isaiah 17:13-14) by bring out the nukes in the Samson Option before America or Russia can get involved. Iran's nuclear program under Ahmadinejad may bring it about. This will make possible many things possible such as gatherings on the Temple Mount and the building of the Third Temple.
Does God mean what he says and says what he means?
You can see what Iran is doing today concerning her neighbor, however this will be invovlve with many nations!
After this has been fulfilled watch for the 70th week of daniel
