Sunday 10/10/10 Minister Jerry�s sermon: Back to the Basics #3: PRAYER !! Luke 22:39-46, Mark 14:32-42, Luke 18:1-8, Luke 11:9-13, I John 5:14-15
Situations happen to each of us everyday. One day we will see the same situation and on that day, God will use it to speak to us. Its all about Prayer.
1) Pray When You Are Stressing About Something: Luke 22:30-46
Jesus had gone with the disciples to pray after His last supper and last hours on Earth. Jesus prayed to God about his up and coming betrayal and crucifixion. vs. 42 Jesus said for God to do His will and not Jesus� will . Yes, Jesus wanted the cup, the crucifixion to be taken away. But, He then said he wanted God to do His Will. We NEED to trust God. Trust that God knows ALL things. Trust that God knows what it takes to go from A to Z. We ask God to cure people, give us jobs and God says yes He will but He is taking us thru the situations so we will grow and get stronger. We don�t know the process people have to go thru�the A to Z. God knows this and God is in control of EVERYTHING!!
*All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord* God knows He has to teach us stuff OR this time next year, we will be going thru the same thing again. So, God doesn�t fix it right away!
Luke 22:44 Jesus was in agony/anguish and His sweat was as drops of blood. Jesus was in so much stress that his blood vessels burst and seeped thru his pores. There is a medical term for this condition. Jesus, when in tremendous stress, fell down on His knees and prayed. He kneeled down. The posture of kneeling down means we are turning everything�.EVERYTHING over to God. We know we are nothing without Him. We are submitting to God�s will.. We must never take our eyes off Jesus or we will sink like Peter did when walking on the water with Jesus.
Whenever we are stressed out about something, we need to GET ON OUR KNEES AND PRAY!! God has something for us that we cannot get on our own. We have to go to Him. The reason that its impossible for us to get it ourselves, is that once God gives it to us,
we CANNOT take credit for it!! Everyone will know that God gave it to us!
2) Nag God: Mark 14:32-42
We need to pray like we know WHO we are praying to. Its not the alarm clock that wakes us up. God does! Its not the starter that starts our car. God does! The clothes on our backs, our bills being paid, all this comes from God. Jesus prayed about what He was stressing about THREE times! vs. 41. He knew WHO he was praying to�God. We need to NAG God because He is the one who can do all things.
Luke 18:1-8 Jesus told them this parable to ALWAYS PRAY! Don�t give up, nag God! In the parable, the judge got weary of the widow nagging him. The judge finally granted her wish. God, our judge, will NOT step out of his character to grant our wishes. So praying/nagging God for sinful things won�t work. But when its in God�s will, according to God�s promises and God�s character, then our prayers will get answered.
And sometimes God does say NO!
3) God Does Answer Our Prayers: Luke 11:9-13
We should not stress out because in the end God will take care of us. Ask and it will be given, seek ye shall find it and the door will be opened for us. God loves us and will always care for our needs.
*God has NO limitations on his resources!!
*God has access to EVERYTHING and can give us what we need, want and desire!!
*God speaks and IT IS!!
*God made it ALL in six days and chilled out on the 7th day!!
*NOTHING is impossible for God!!
*God is a GREAT GOD!!
I John 5:1-15 : And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us. And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Dennis leave PJ alone,he might be being used of GOD;How I do not know...
IF PJ is ABBA's child,then let ABBA deal with him.
Do not waste your breathe or time trying to instruct or admonish PJ,he does not receive either one with a broken and contrite heart..
PJ does not seem to have been broken yet,
Pray that YHWH breaks PJ,then makes him a man after Yeshua's heart..
Until a man has been broken of GOD,they will continue throwing off the yoke that will instruct them unto knowing who Yeshua is,and what Yeshua is like.
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

GREAT SERMON NOTES, MKJVO... and I encourage you to continue doing what you have done on this site for a logn time. Because someone, somewhere in this world is being helped and blessed by the note to share with us from your pastor's sermons every week:applause::glow:
Men and women, boys and girls need to always pray, in season and out of season asking without doubting, says the Lord.
Jesus teaches us that we must pray without ceasing, asking, and it shall be given. Seeking, and we shall find. Knocking and the doors will be open. Believing AND IT SHALL BE DONE, since we know that He hears our prayer requests, He will respond to us when we ask according to His will. Plus, the Holy S[irit knows what we have need of, and He knows how we ought to pray, and when we pray doing our best, The Spirit of the Lord knows how to make it right and take it before God on out behalf. Dennis and George here is the word for you, in otherwords mark those that continuall cause and bring division.
Does love not say that, well it does in my book, personally I don't see how a brother can continually oppose the word of God (Jesus).
Dennis what do you believe?
And really George I have to wonder about you, I never see you agree with word, and you always come acroos as one in authority.
Dennis anytime you want to sit and discuss the word have at it, I am not one for opinion. We are suppose to know the truth, don't you think it is time to grow up!!

We are all waiting for you to grow up PJ and to open up and discuss what you believe, but you always run and hide from every question and you never interact and communicate with other human beings like a real human would. My question is are you human? The evidence points towards being a demon or possessed by one. Nothing but mass confusion and false doctrines come from you, and when someone gets close to speaking the truth you wale on those people, I think those are characteristics of a demon.
If you are not a demon then you are a 4 yr old that shaves. Either one is fitting.

I must conclude that since Satan constantly attacks and tries to bring you down, you must be doing exactly what God wants you to.
