Reality CheckerPosted : 5 Oct, 2010 11:54 AMBeen reading "Foxes Book of Martyrs" . Reading about men and women who were tortured, burned alive while praying and beating their breast until their arm fell off and their lips stuck to their teeth, beheaded, drowned, eaten alive by lions, wrapped in netting and thrown to a bull, made to sit on a iron chair heated with fire, roasted alive on a iron bed, not to mention years of beatings, starvation and imprisonment in the worst conditions beforehand leaving their spouses and chidden behind. And my biggest fear is to be embarrassed before my peers? I am taking a look at my feet ; are they even on the right path? |

Reality CheckerPosted : 5 Oct, 2010 05:21 PMI've got a strong stomach. I listen to grindcore and death metal. I'm a horror fan, but I couldn't make it through Foxe's Book of Martyrs. It's very convicting but also very gruesome. |
