Should a woman who becomes pregnant from rape attempt to locate the rapist and tell him about the baby? Should the women keep the baby or give her up from adoption? Why does God allow people to have nightmares? Aside from praying, reading the Bible, and listening to worship music before bed, what can someone do to stop nightmares? Post Reply

One on each door going from the outside into your home and one especially on your bedroom door. It is simply a container to hold a portion of God's Word. Some believe it is like angels are posted at your doors to guard and keep evil away. I heard one person say they used to have nightmares and putting a mezzuah on their door stopped them. You won't know unless you try it. Something I do occasionally is put a worship cd on in my bedroom and put it on repeat and let it play all night. Post Reply

As far as why does God allow, is that scriptual, i don't think so, it is sting theology. Genesis tells us who is in charge and then you must come to the new testament and learn man's redemption. The things in this world that bring pain aren't from our Heavenly Father. If the enemy can bring enough pain into your life and keep you inside of that pain, you wont reach your calling and that is his goal. Forgiveness is vital to the healing of what you've been through and is also important for a healthy baby. Know that your feelings while pregnant, those transmit to the baby inside of you. My oldest daughter is pregnant and not serving the Lord right now. I've been telling her now is the time for her to begin her relationship with Father again because she has alot of anger inside her and it's not good for the baby. Father God can deliver her from that and he will do it for you too. I would go the pastor of your church and ask for counseling or if there is a womens pastor over the womens ministry. They can help you deal with the grief and inner healing. As far as contacting the babies father, that's your choice. He is your ex=boyfriend so...maybe he ought to know. The nightmares, put your hand over your head and say "there will be no nightmares tonight in the name of Jesus, every dream I have will be directed from the Lord" thats what I do. Some deep cleansing(healing) will need to be done if that doesnt work. The nightmares, which is fear, come from the trauma. Everything you said in your post is directly from the experience. yeah, I would seek ministry from the womens pastor at church. I'm praying for you. River Post Reply
