The nazis burnt all jewish books and music.

A few years ago out west, Harry Potter books got burnt.

Now that the islamic faith wants to build a temple of worship at ground zero is burning books going to help?

I do not feel that they should have a place to worship at ground zero. if the Koran is burnt it will be a descration.

Where do I stand on burning the Koran?

I have not yet decided.

What biblical meanings does this have?

Please only serious responses.

You can disagree with me or agree.

I dont think the Quran should be burnt and i also dont feel a mosque should be built at ground zero.

In my eyes, it's a horrible reminder of the reason why there is a ground zero.

It's ridiculous actually. If our government allows it...I just dont know what will be next.

How about a statue of Hitler in front of Jewish Temples.

I don't see how burning the books will help anything at all. It just seems like a way to incite anger and violence.

As for building a mosque at ground zero, I don't think they should do it. I don't think the government should forbid it (religious freedom and all that...if they tell Muslims "no", next thing we'll know they'll be telling Christians "no" about something) But I can't see why in the world Muslims would be so insensitive to such a raw wound in the USA. They should just go elsewhere.

Send a message we have had enough and if burning the book will do that, "burn baby, burn!" And stop the building of the mosque! We have lost our back bone and respect as a country, where do we draw the line?

I do not know if burning is the "right" thing to do, but I can't say I ever was against it.

It's definitely not the right thing to do. The golden rule, anyone? We don't get to do onto others like they would do to us.

Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

As for the mosque...I don't think it should matter. The whole Muslim faith doesn't blow up buses filled with children, etc...and I don't think they want to be judged by the radicals in their faith, just like I don't want Christians to be judged by a crazy man that wants to hate other people/religions and burn their books. It's three blocks away, it's not even in sight of the twin towers. How far away do they have to go to worship in a free country? And besides, if you start taking away other peoples rights to religious freedom, you take away your own as well. And besides all that...our troops that are fighting these terrorists are going to have a lot more hatred turned their way if this idiot goes through with this. I almost wonder is this "pastor" isn't a terrorist himself. Why else would someone do this? It's not going to help our cause, it's going to help the terrorists.

Put the shoe on the other foot for a momentI for one would not want the Muslims to burn Our Christian BibleI consider my Faith and Bible to be most Holy. Ima purty sure the Muslims consider the Koran most Holy alsoIts about respect of Others views and choicesIt was a slap in the Face of Every American from a TerroristBut delivering the Message of We have had enough of Terrorism and Osama Bin Laden by Burning the Koran by a Christian is Out Right LudicrousThis is the Stuff that RE-LEGIOUS war is built onwhich also is what Jihad wants

As for the Mosque being built on or by the site of 9/11I find this to be Disrespectful no matter how the Muslims want to Sugar Coat itYes we lost Muslim Americans in 9/11We lost many people of different Religious faithsbut We lost more Christian Americans in that Act of Terrorismand that was the Jihads point of itKill America and Christians

I watched a Documentary on 9/11 this past weekend. When they were finally able to get inside the massive structure left standingthe men reported it appeared as a Cathedral and in the Middle stood a Metal BeamA Cross that rose up from the Debris

GOD is everywhereeven in Our darkest hoursHallelujah !!! Praise and Glory to the Most Highxo

I think they have every right to burn the books but how will burning those books lead to spreading the Gospel to the Muslims?

Condemning all Muslims for 9/11 is like condemning all Christians for the Crusades that killed more Muslims than 9/11 killed Christians.

I don't think Christians should burn the Koran, I think they should read it.

We need to be able to explain to Americans, and Christians WHY Islam is incompatible with life in America.

We need to be able to TELL OTHERS about the EVIL that is in the Koran!

I think we Christians need to be able to tell others why we don't have faith in Moehammud, and why Islam should not be allowed in America.

In Christ,

James

Another excellant point James...to understand any Spirituailty and/or Religion...one must Read and Study it and go from there...It sounds like a great plan...but the Best Plans by Men/Women usually fall short of the mark...so to speak...

Sooo...a question...How may people here have read the Koran ?
