Memphis Area Muslims Worshiping At Christian Church During Ramadan
CORDOVA, TN Construction is almost complete on the new Muslim Islamic Center in Cordova. As the finishing touches are being put on the building, Dr. Yasir Qadhi says hate and concerns are building as well. On internet blogs, on websites, even some news media. Unfortunately a few people of our core religionists have literally hijacked the faith and all the attention is on them. Qadhi says those people are part of the slim minority.
Steve Stone is Pastor of Heartsong Church, located right across the street. This place doesnt belong to us, its Gods place and were just sharing it. Stone and his congregation have decided to share it with the Muslim Islamic Center.
Muslim floor mats are used nightly in the Christian Church after sundown during Ramadan. Nearly 100 Muslims are at Heartsong every night. Were loving our neighbors, thats what were called to do, Stone tells myEyewitnessNews.com.
Stone says hes received a lot of opposition, mostly on the web. Stone says there may even be some dissenters in his church. I understand the fear that people have about it because if you dont know somebody, the first thing youre going to do is fear them.
Stone says from what he knows, the fear is unwarranted. Our belief is lets get to know these people and see who they are and so far our experiences have been very positive. Qadhi agrees. I can bare witness as a Muslim that I was so touched by what the pastor and the church members did despite the negativity. Just like you have the right to build your centers of worship and others have the rights to build their centers of worship, we feel we have that right and privilege and we thank God for giving us that privilege in America.
If Qadhis name sounds familiar, its because there have been reports linking him to terrorists like the Underwear Bomber in Detroit. They worshiped together at the same mosque. When asked about it, Qadhi tells myEyewitnessNews.com its true, but says they studied together long before the bombers views turned radical. That is not the message he plans on teaching at the Memphis Islamic Center. Qadhi says his concerns, hopes, fears are those that we all share in America.
I believe in the rights of everyone to worship whomever they please, but I will stand for the gospel and what the doctrine of Jesus teaches us, and how we are to treat those who do not believe in our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Which means, Jesus died for ME and saved ME therefore, He is my personal Lord meaning in control of my life, and Savior meaning that Jesus saved me through His suffering death on the cross from the pits of hell, which makes Him my personal Lord and Savior, for thsoe who do not understand this phrase Jesus as Personal Lord and Savior.
Now, the Bible teaches us that we are to be witnesses to the lost with the gospel message of Jesus Christ in love. The gospel also instructs us as to how we are to handle those who refuse to accept the gospel message of Jesus Christ. And Jesus Himself, as well as the apostles and disciples also showed us by example how they treated the lost with firm compassion and love with the purpose of winning souls for the kingdom of God, just as God so treats us who are in ignorance of the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ..
This church, Heartsong Methodist in Memphis, TN, has open its doosr for the Muslims to come into the house of God to have thier worship, this is an anitchirst religion. And this I have problems with when considering what scripture teaches and what we learn in 3 John chapter 1:verses 7: "For many decievers have gone out into the world who do not CONFESS JESUS CHRIST as coming in the flesh. This is s deciever and an antichrist. Look to yourselves that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
Whoever transgress and DOES NOT abide in the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST DOES NOT HAVE GOD.. The person who abides in the doctrine of Christ has BOTH the FATHER AND THE SON.
If ANYONE COMES TO YOU AND DOES NOT BRING THIS DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, DO NOT RECEIVE HIM/HER INTO YOUR HOUSE NOR GREET HIM OR HER, BECAUSE HE/SHE WHO GREETS HIM/HER WILL SHARE IN HIS/HER EVIL DEED OF UNBELIEF."
That being said, my question is why in the world is this church opening its doors for the Muslims who DO NOT believe in Jesus Christ, to come into the house that is SUPPOSE to be dedicated to worshiping God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ?
The world has suckered Christians into the con phrase asking the believers the question What Would Jesus Do? For sure Jesus would not allow such as this to take place against His own word.
Has tolerance gone too far in this matter against God's word, in an effort to be politically correct, and no one is taking a trtruth stand for righteousness and the house of God?
Isnt this what a " Universal Church " is for...they include All Religions and Denominations...Speakin for my self here...I will not enter into or become a member of a Universal Church...It reminds me of New Age Philosofies..( spelling  )...Another Way / Another Gosspel...Not for me...
The Church I attend would and does embrace Seekers of Our LORD Jesus* the Christ and we are all so very happy to Share the Good News...the WORD...but to Muslims for thier worship of another GOD...not gona happen...As a Relief center in times of Emergency including all persons of all religions including Muslims...Yes..but never for Worship...
Thanxs for sharing this article and giving US Christians some very important matters to reflect upon...Luv ya Lady...xo
This is also part of a movement called the emergent (emerging) church. They are key, when understanding Christian Universalism. They believe that, satanists, buddhists, wiccans, muslims and Christians alike will all go to heaven... together, regardless of their faith. The emergents believe that because God loves everyone so much, his love has automatically saved us all. (Regardless of faith). They also link together different religious ceremonies separate from Christianity and tie them together into "alternative" services. You can find traces of: buddhism and the kundalini, liturgical Catholicism etc etc...
The things going on in the church date back to eastern mysticism -- and once you know about where eastern mysticism comes from all you can really say is ...
UH OH.
Fortunately we have scripture to help us brothas and sistas out!
(2 Corinthians 11:3-6) Just because someone speaks something in the name of Jesus, it does not mean they are speaking about the Jesus Christ of the bible- this is how so many are led astray!
2 Corinthians 11:3-6 (NIV)
3But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpents cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. 5But I do not think I am in the least inferior to those super-apostles. 6I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way.
John 8: 30-32
31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
Matthew 6:7
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
After reading the posts from this discussion I was wondering, is the church simply letting the Muslim people use there building at a time when they are not or are they embracing their religion as an equal way to get to heaven?
I don't think it explicitly says which, but maybe I misread.
Jesus clearly says he is the only way to heaven and it would be interesting hearing how someone who believed otherwise would address scriptures in the bible stating this.
