Admin	Psalm119:105 Posted : 7 Sep, 2010 07:00 AM Anyone knows what this verse really means? Why we would need a light for our feet? Isn't it our eyes that need the light? Since feet can't see? I'm kinda confused and I am not really good with wording lol Post Reply

The references to the word lighting one's path or how they walk spiritually. When Christ said he was a light unto the word did not mean he was a person's physical flashlight. John 1:6 �There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 �The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 �He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 �That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 �He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 �He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 �But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: God's word illuminates our understanding of God when we allow the Holy Spirit to teach us the things of God by comparing scripture with scripture. Its not done by someone telling us what or how we should worship God other then His word. 1 Corinthians 2:13 �Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Light at head level alone does not help if you're about to step into an abyss. This world is a pretty dark place...we can not just know (head level) the Word but need to apply it and do it (feet level - walk it out). Does that help any? Post Reply

Like...God says "Love you neighbor". When we learn that truth, then we see the parts of our life where we do or do not love our neighbor. We would not have seen our faults or have been able to correct them if we had not received truth from God. :peace::peace: Post Reply
