This is from an article about the commander in Afghanistan saying if an American church burns the Quran it could put the troops at higher risk of attacks:

"Images of the burning of a Quran would undoubtedly be used by extremists in Afghanistan and around the world to inflame public opinion and incite violence," Gen. David Petraeus said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

Then later in the article was this paragraph:

Muslims consider the Quran to be the word of God and insist that it be treated with the utmost respect, along with any printed material containing its verses or the name of Allah or the Prophet Muhammad. Any intentional damage or show of disrespect to the Quran is deeply offensive.

WOW!!! If Christians had the utmost respected and treated the bible, God's name and Jesus the way Muslims do their god, their holy book, and their prophet what would this world be like???

Do we know the Bible is God's Word or just hope it is? When is the last time you got deeply offended when someone used the name of Jesus as a cuss word? (me? last night! ugh) It is in our movies and on our TV's and never do you hear but a whisper from a few Christians calling it outrageous that some "so called" Christians will pay to watch God's name be degraded and dragged through the mud and laugh at it.

Would you watch a movie that used the person you loved the most, like a mother, a spouse, or one of your kid's name as a cuss word? And you would watch a movie that use God's name that way?

Who took our back bone where we can't stand up any more for what we are suppose to believe and love most? It is sad the Muslims show more devotion for false hope than Christians do for real hope.

Thank you MrRow for shareing this article...

We as Christians are being asked to Humbley Accept and Respect others Beliefs...and We do for the most part...

But I for one will not accept Slander or Persecution or Disrespect of Our GOD...

And I will not Disrespect Others beliefs that are differant than mine or what they deem Sacrad or Holy...

Don't get me wrong here...If its in my face...and disrespectful...I have no problem stateing the offense...

If a person uses the Lord's name in vain...well...I do point it out...but I do not pass judgement...that is the LORD's...xo

What would it be like? Pretty much what the Muslim world is like now: people who freak out of the outward signs of things but don't give a rip about the inner life. I'm not too desirous of such a world. I'd rather have a world where Christian comedians stand on the Bible and tell us that it's the contents that are important, not the physicality of a book.
