I actually attended a Sader a number of years ago, with Congregation Beth Yeshua.
The common mistake Christians make is by saying the prayer in Matthew 6:5-15 and Luke 11:1-11,is the Lords Prayer.
I do not know where this comes from, for this really is the disciples prayer.
In and through this prayer the Lord Yeshua/Jesus is teaching His disciples about their relationship with their ABBA-Father in Heaven.
This prayer starts with "Our Father",this would be foreign to the Jews; for they referred to ABBA not as their Father, rather they referred to Him as Addonai,GOD,and other titles.
The true prayers of Yeshua/Jesus are as follows:
Matthew 26:36-44
Mat 26:36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Mark 14:32-42
Mar 14:32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
John 17,the entire chapter:
Joh 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
I did not put every verse here because of space.
When others have time, please look these verses up.
Within these times of Yehsua praying He was interceding for others.
Part of Yeshuas prayer in John 17 is interesting:
Joh 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
I hope everyone has a Blessed and safe Labor day weekend.
Thank you for your response,Regardless if the prayer is said in Hebrew or English or any other language,God Our Father reads our heart and thoughts and accepts our prayers given in a humble heartfelt attitude.
Sorry, Humble heartfelt prayers don't come from proud arragent stubborn non repentant people be it Moslems Athiest and any others who are just kidding themselves,Gal.6:7,Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows
