criminal punishment?Posted : 4 Aug, 2010 06:16 PMOn a Christian radio station I listen to the topic of criminal punishment was talked about for some time. The question is are long prison sentences biblical? The host a few preachers he was able to ask the question said, no. When we look in the bible at the law, the punishment for breaking the law was executed quickly. The gross crimes were always punishment by death and the lesser ones were some sort of a payment. Early in US history it was this way, when a man was sentenced to death he was executed by the end of the week not after 10 yrs of appeals. Prisons are a breeding ground to harden more criminals and does not rehabilitate. |

criminal punishment?Posted : 5 Aug, 2010 05:06 AMI spent several years in prison and I agree Mr Row,prisons do not rehabilitate and the recidivism rate is like 98%.If anything, these young kids go in there for selling weed, and learn how to be better criminals when they get out(some of them never get out). |
