Helllo everyone:

I might be stepping out onto the cliff of an extremely high moutain, yet this is Ok with me.

In my travels as a tractor trailer operator,I have seen many great and strange things throughout this great country.

I have seen signs outside of buildings with:

The Reverand Kathy

Pastor Sharon

ELder Wendy

If a woman is Biblically qualified to being an Elder,Pastor,

Overseer,or Bsihop please show me.

And please show why she is qualified.

If she is not qualified, please show this also.

I do have the Scriptures,i just want to see where people stand on this.

When she can be the husband of one wife, I will accept a woman as a pastor. (Unfortunately that may happen soon. burrr!)

My 1st question is how can a women be in direct rebellion of the Word and think she can serve Gob in that rebellion?

My other question is how can man sit under a woman pastor and think he can be pleasing to God???

Since the fall of man women have been trying to usurper the authority from men and men are lazy and let them have it. The problem with the American church is, no manly backbone exist, we now have a bunch or whinny so called christians preaching a watered down gospel of "love" and the real gospel of sin, righteousness & judgment are given soft edges as to not offend.

The answer to most of your positions listed is "no".

However, I think it is important for Women in the church to be teaching Sunday School, and any school the church might have for children.

The Early church had women as deacons, and they were mainly in charge of who got what kind of charitable giving such as food and clothing, etc.

I think we should expand roles that Women in the church can fulfill, as much as Scripture allows,

Not teaching over men, or as pastor, or Elders, but everything else is from what I see, allowed.

In Christ,

James

I think it is possible for a woman to teach from the bible as well, then it would not really be them "teaching" or "having authority". Women should witness to everyone, just like men, and I think personal testimony and expounding biblical truths are within a woman's realm of witness. God had female prophets in the bible also, and God uses prophets to reveal truth and correct error, so to think to deny women that option to be used by God is a little biblically unsound. I do think the bible is clear that righteous and godly men are the spiritual leaders, but I do believe there is a major role for women to play besides teaching children or sitting in pews.

There are women that are far spiritually advanced and God can use that wisdom to teach anyone who is teachable.

The verse that alludes to women not teaching or pastoring men needs to be carefully researched. There are many verses in the Bible that pertain to the times or a particular church.

To take the one verse at face value would negate the God given wisdom of many of these women.

We all benefit from God's wisdom. no matter how it is ministered.

Well George one could say the lord obviously proved that with Joyce Meyers, but people seem to spend more energy trying to disprove the word of God.

The answer is most definitely, they can do anything Jesus anoints them to

To lemonpup:

Please post the Scripture(s) that pertain to that which you are talking about, and give the context.

To PJ:

You do the same young man.

Anyone is able to say what both of you have said,Yet please present the Scripture and your understanding of that Scripture.

I'm in agreement with Mr. Row and James.

It's not an issue of whether or not a woman is intelligent, spiritual, etc.; it's a matter of following Biblical guidance as to the roles of men and women. A woman's role involves training up children and teaching other women; her ministry should fall within the scope of that.
