It is a book of records kept by God with a list of everyone who has repented of their sins, believed on the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, and confessed Him as their Lord and Savior, God's Only begotten Son.
Paul lets us know in his writings in Romans chapter 8, that there is NOTHING that can separate us from the Lord of Christ Jesus, IF we are IN Christ.
Every person who is called a believer, their names are written in this book.And Christ has promised not to blot out any believers name, if they overcome their sins, and turn from their wicked ways. This is the purpose of repentance of our sins, and turning away from our sins to follow Christ.
NO ONE's name can be blotted out of this Book UNLESS he or she turns away from the Lord, and start follwoing after another gospel that is not of Christ.
As believers in Jesus Christ, your name is written in this Book in heaven which gives ALL who believe the confidence in knowing, that their eternal salvation is security, and we will reign with Christ in His kingdom when He returns forever in heaven.
Unbelievers will not have their names written in this Book, UNLESS they repnet and receive the Lord Jesus Christ. ALL unbelievers will be judged according to their sinful deeds because they did not take the offer of salvation before they died, and their names have not been written in the Book of Life.Therefore, thier eternal life will be spent in hell with satan and all other disobedient unbelievers.
The Book of Life is Christ's Book, which He write our names in, because He has promised believers eternal life.
John chapter 10, Jesus says this,My sheep hear my voice, and I know my sheep, and they follow me. And I give to them eternal life, and they will NEVER PERISH, NEITHER WILL ANY MAN PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY HAND. MY FATHER, which GAVE THEM TO ME, IS GREATER THAN EVERYONE, AND NO MAN IS ABLE TO PLUCK THEN OUT OF MY FATHER'S HAND.

For those who do not believe in Jesus Christ for the forgivenness of your sins. I say this: I would rather live here on earth believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sin and that He is God's Son, and then die and find out that its a lie. Than to live on earth as an unbeliever and reject Him, and then died, and find out that He is the Only Begotten Son of God, only to find myself lifting my eyes up from hell.... think about it, becasue they choice is your free choice.

I happen to be concerned by a number of times where you have stated that Repentance and not Yeshua/Jesus
saves you from the wrath of God.

I guess Pauls was not saved seeing that He called Himself (present tense Greek) Chief of Sinners.
1Ti 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
1Ti 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Notice what is written in verse14,GRACE, Faith and Love in Yeshua,not repentance.

That is not the Gospel,this is the works of man,The work of Christ has no AND THAT WHEN WE REPENT.

If Repentance is the means of forgiveness,then why was it necessary for Yeshua to shed His blood and die.

Jesus kept the Law so that we do not have to.
Yes Yeshua kept the Law so that we do not have to keep the law; in order to be saved,or forgiven .
This is because we are not able to keep the Law.

We do not keep the law to become righteous,rather we are
clothed with Christs righteousness and therefore keep the Law.
And yet we still cannot keep the Law.
