Love is not caling your brother a liar every chance you get.

Love is treating women with respect.

Love is kind, gentle, and sweet.

Love is unconditional acceptance.

I accept my Calvin bothers in Christ as they are.

I accept my Luthern brothers as they are.

Get the point friends.

If they say Jesus died for their sins and he is God they are saved.:peace:

The point is Dennis, if they believe he is Lord and the God of the word.

Love is never permissive but always protective, and it never calls the truth a lie.

Since no man is perfect why do you call them liars PJ.

You are a man and you too do not know the whole truth and miss the mark.Does that mean you lie too?

In your response to my statement you said something about lies.

remember what I said? love does not call you brothers liars every chance you get.

Take a lesson pal.

Love is not an emotion that fades away with time.

Love is everlasting.

Love is as Paul writes in I Corinthians chapter 13:

Love is loooooooongsuffering.

Love is kind

Love does not envy.

Love doesn not have pride

Love is not selfish

Love is not puffed up and arrogant

Love in not rude and self seeking

Love is not easily provoked to anger

Love thinks no evil

Love does not rejoice in sins

Love rejoices in the truth always

Love breas all thing no matter what, with patience

Love endure all things until the end

Love never fail

You are a good man Charlie Brown (Dennis), and I love you ... that's what love is...:hearts::glow::rocknroll::dancingp:

Love thinks no evil

In other words you do not automatically think the worst about something or someone. Think good thoughts, let your mind be renewed. :prayingf:

Love doesn't gossip

Love smiles in the midst of frowns

Love lets the other person take the credit

Love carries a heavy box for the cancer ravaged body

Love gives quarters at the neighbor boy's lemonade stand

Love listens and wipes away tears

Love is being your child's #1 cheerleader

Love is tickling a grandchild

Love is the anticipation of someone special walking through the door

Love is what makes a Father's Day Happy

My definition of love is sorta like this...

To see so much beauty and value in a thing that you are motivated, even compelled or driven at times, to express your feeling of appreciation to the object of your affection. :hearts:

...words and actions should match... :hearts:

Hello everyone:

What is love;good question.

Which type of love are we talking about:

In the english or rather, the American language there is just one word for love; That is the word love.

This one word has a variety of meanings, depending upon the situation and the company involved.i.e.

A man says;I love my wife:

He also says,i love steak and potatoes.

I love my dog

I love walking etc.

The english language for this one word is very limited,in it's understanding, and its application.

The Greek language is more exact with the word love, here are a few words and their

definitions.

Note that the words and their application are very pointed and precise.

1.Agapeo:Indicates a direction of the will, and finding one's joy in something.

2.Agape':Benevolent love, bestowing to another what they need,as deemed necessary.

by the one that is doing the bestowing.

3.Philos:Love of friend/neighbor.

4.Phileo:Having common interests with another.

5.Philadelphia:Brotherly love

6.Philandros:The affections a wife has for her husband.

7.Philarguria:The love of money,or anything that cannot reciprocate what is bestowed upon it.

8.Eros:The romantic, sexual love between a husband and wife.

In John 15:13-Greater love(Agape')has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

In John 3:16-For God so loved(Agape') the world, that He gave his only begotten Son.

Romans 12:Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love(Philadelphia).

I understand what is being put here, yet let us be more accurate when we say I Love you.

I don't want anyone thinking i am being to technical, yet Yeshua/Jesus did not waste

any words when speaking.

Chesed and Shalom

George
