Now the works of the flesh are evident(obvious), which are these: Adultery(outside sex while married, also worshipping or mixing of the fiath, or anything other than God), Fornication(sex outside of being married), Uncleanness (sexual impurity) Lasciviousness(sexual excess), Idolatry(idol worshipping of images, or affection placed on people, places or personal things instead of God), Witchcraft or Sorcery(tampering with evil powers, trying to make things go your way, occult), Haterd( strong dilike in the heart for a person wiithout cause), Contentions(strife or discord without cause), Emulations (jealousy), Strife(self ambitions), Seditions(dissensions, unnecessary anger without cause),Heresies (divisions or eleiques, distorting the word of God), Envying (wishing for what others have0, Murderers( taking another person's life you didn't give, or speaking harsh evil or slanderous words against another person with hate, drunkenness(excess drinking and losing control of self and acting out with bad behavior), Reveiling(carousing, or excessive eating, or gluttony.
And the likes of these, those who PRACTICE SUCH THINGS WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Revelation Chapter 21:
The Fearful, and the Unbelieving, and the Abominable, and Murderers, and Whoremongers, and Sorceres, and Idolaters, and ALL LIARS( notice this does not say Y'ALL LAIRS, it says ALL LAIRS:ROFL:, WILL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNS WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, WHICH IS THE SCEOND DEATH.

@GodsJude: Let us be thankful, that by the grace of God, who in Love sent his son so that we may be redeemed in the beloved, released us not only from the power of the Law, but of sin as well, and condemned sin in the flesh. Amen, that we are free from the bondage of sin, that we may freely live in righteousness and love, less we strive in vain.
Praise be to God, and Glory! Resist Satan and he will flee from you!
2 Timothy 3:16 - "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
Remember that when Satan tempted Jesus, he rebuked him with the Word of God in scripture. Amen! Let us too, as Christian, as being Christ-like follow his example, and let the Word of God be the anchor of our soul! Amen!
You know Dennis, I was led by the Lord to post this, because there are so many people who t hink just because they go to church and beleive that they are saved and are going to heaven. But even Jesus tells us, if you think you have salvation, you better READ the word.
This word that Paul has written from the mouth of God, let's us all know we have work to do and not play God as a fool nor take His sacrifice offering on the cross for granted. If we are continuing to practice sins after we have been born again and delivered, we will not be going to heaven. It ain't gone work.
This is where the case about saved always saved comes into play. Many claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, but continue to practice sins as these written in this passage, because they haven't been truly converted. Therefore, others will say he/she was a Christian, yet, what people don't know or understand is, behind closed doors away from the Sunday church, the person is involved in the practice of all those sins, God says if you are practicing such, and are involved in, you will not enter His kingdom.
That was good ET.:peace: I smiled. Once saved always saved.Hmmmmmmm:laugh:
You got me to chuckle when you slipped that phrase in.My good friend and foreman from a job years ago used to debate that all the time in his office. We agreed not to have certain talks in front of unbelievers because it did cause confusoin when we did at one time.:yay: The thing is we both said we were right.:bouncy::nahnah:
I did put up a good debate.
These are things I used.
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit
Your name can be bloted out of the lambs Book of Life.
Annias and Saphira lied to the Holy Spirit.
These are just a few.
Jerry was well studied and presented a good challenge.
Is the once saved always saved thinking mainly in the Baptist church?????
If you can lose it, won't you be more carefull to keep it?:excited: Thanks for the trip down memory lane.:goofball:
It is not just the Baptists. I belong to another site that is ordained ministers only, and about 90% believe once saved always saved. It is very common and, I think, the bible clearly teaches it.
All the verses you use are about the kind of people Ella was speaking of, they have what Spurgeon called a sham conversion. They have fooled everyone, even themselves, into believing they are saved. That is why the Apostles were continually warning us to search ourselves, and telling us what to look for. The fruits of the Spirit were not telling us to go do them, they were telling us we should already be doing then automatically. If we have to make ourselves do them, we are not saved.
