Posted : 16 Jun, 2010 05:40 PM One of the bad things about doing calminian wars over and over, is because we never get to talk about the MEANS God has chosen. The five points the Arminians object to, have to do with the ENDS of all things. God chooses----------God Glorifies We happen to live in the middle of that, and that means we should not neglect the MEANS that God has chosen. We are commanded to USE the MEANS that God has chosen for us to use. Reformed preaching and teaching has TONS of stuff on this one subject, that to an Arminian would sound strange, just like having the parents of an infant being baptized say to the church that they will not hinder the child if the child grows up and wants to be a missionary, and that they will raise the child in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Do you know there is even the Puritan concept of "seeking irresistible grace"? To an Arminian, that makes no sense at all, because in the back of their minds they keep repeating false concepts like "robot" and "why pray then?" and so the MEANS of God's grace which are very important to the Christian life, and big in Reformed preaching, don't make sense to an Arminian as to why a Calvinist would be so concerned about it. One proof of HOW important it is.... Just remember how many famous Calvinists were famous for preaching the gospel to the lost, and how many of them traveled into the darkest jungles, etc. In Christ, James Post Reply

It is the King of Kings, Lord of Lord and he is wonderful, I have never had him to wanna talk to me about either one. It is his priority for those that claim to know him, to exalt him and no other. Both of the others are just men. All they knew was the portion God chose to show them. That is why both of them made mistakes in their theology. God will only reveal to you what you are ready to receive. I believe Jesus was the only one who knew it all. With Moses as a close second. Leon Post Reply

Could you at least spell the word correctly? An "armenian" is a person from the country of Armenia. An "Arminian" is a person who believes the five points of Arminianism. Friends when a jew converts to Christ they are a Messinisc jew.They do not agree with alvin or Arminian.I hope my spelling is right.(Arminian) I did read the Chapter Romans 9 and could not find predestinaton in that chapter.I read from The NIV. It talked about being chosen, but not predestened. I have several issues with this once saved always saved thinking. There is several verses that say your name can be blotted out of the Lambs book of life.Only those who are saved can have their names removed.:peace: Also, I believe that a believer can commit blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Posted : 18 Jun, 2010 01:32 PM The frustrating thing about people that havent studied enough,yet like to be very vocal on a forum is,they dont even understand that,by default,you have either a calvinist or an arminian veiw of the bible.Its kind of like saying Well,I dont live in the North or the South,well,Yes you do.....You either beleive that you came to Christ on your own,or,that you came because he regenerated your heart first,and changed your nature,wich,I beleive the bible is very clear that the latter is true,Intelligent,deep,and even fun conversations could be had by adults that are willing to disscuss this topic without constantly telling someone their a liar,or they dont beleive God ect. ect...
