The Word of God is still the same, it never changes, it is still relevant today thousands of years later.

This incorruptible word of God, tells us that while on the earth we have an enemy that is come to steal, kill and destroy all that the word of God says is ours.

His name is Death, or Satan the are one and the same, he has not changed either.

Satan the word of Death is still saying, God did not say, God did not mean that, he is still helping who will ever listen to him interpret the word of God.

Just Tell the Devil, take a hike I am a believer, I believe the written word of God, plus I have the Greater one in me, to help me walk in agreement with the word of God and he is leading me and guiding into all truth.

The Word of God never changes. Amen to that. One thing I think about a lot when reading the Bible is how drastically Christ challenges everyone. A perfect example is when He speaks about loving your enemies. Turning the other cheek. I wonder how people took these kind of messages in His day. People nowadays tend to use the fact that the scriptures are a couple thousand-years-old as an excuse to do things their way. I've been guilty of this in the past as well. But the fact of the matter is that the Word of God doesn't change. God still wants the same things from us now as He did in the days of Jesus' life. "Jesus didn't literally mean to just let someone beat you up. He was just making a point." Are you sure? Didn't He just let people mock, humiliate, beat, and kill Him? He even had chances to get out of it. But He didn't. He took it. When Judas betrayed Jesus, and His disciples prepared to fight for their master, Jesus stopped them... AND THEN HEALED THE ENEMY'S EAR! That's like...

Someone is coming to beat you up. Your friend jumps in to defend you. You tell your friend to stop. You know this will mean you get beat up, but that's okay. You go over and make sure the bully is okay. Then you tell the bully to do what he came there to do.

This is basically what Jesus did. And you know what came from His "dramatic" example? The faith of TONS of christians. God's Word never changes. He is still calling us towards this "dramatic" lifestyle. Why, you may ask? To answer that, I have a question for you. Does the "why" really matter? Who are we to ask why... just a thought. Sorry for the rambling, as always. lol.

The why is that he may be lifted up and draw all men unto him. Jesus

EXACTLY! Love. I guess I should have been a little clearer at the end there. I was kinda tired. lol. A lot of people don't understand why they have to go to such extreme measures to show love to others. To them, you can love many other ways, so there is no reason to do things the way Jesus described in some passages. To those who don't quite get the "why" about it... my point was that it was a command from the Lord. Even if you have a hard time seeing why it is so important... It is what the Lord wants to see His children do. (See Ephesians 5:1-2)

YES! it's all about Love(=Christ)! but sadly, it[Love] is too often reduced to a an emotion... you can't advocate unconditional love without someone accusing you of being emotional, needy or unstable:laugh:... tsk tsk tsk hope they get the memo!
