Ok. So I really like talking about God, but most of the topics here lately have been kind of... blue? Dull? Repetitive? I dunno... here's something new...
I've been wondering lately (and by lately I mean for the past few hours. lol) about God's imagination. Something I've NEVER though about before. I've always known of His solid plans for us, and of His ability to create everything, but I've never sat down and thought about the imagination of God. For instance... I wonder if when He created the... EVERYTHING... if maybe there were other ways to go about it... like more than one option. I wonder if God had all these ideas floating around, and ultimately decided on... the way things are now. I can't really formulate this into a question... so I guess this'll just be open to any interesting ideas or verses that kind of hit on this. In fact... if there are any other qualities about God that you wanna talk about... things that aren't as obvious or spoken about as much... that would be cool to talk about too. Really... just say what you want, I guess. lol. Oh, but let's leave arguments out of this, please. Let's try and keep this one light. :peace:
I think Gods creative endeavers are in no way limited to our system of galaxies,I think he could have created, solar systems,galaxies,worlds,beings,...whatever,although he never mentions anything in the scriptures to us about it,that doesnt mean it isnt so.If he is infinite, his imagination is infinite....just look at some of the things limited finite mans mind can create..........so imagine a being vastly superior to us...........infinitly superior!
Thanks for the question.:peace: I do like the beauty of looking at the stars and have wondered what part we will play after the 1,000 years od peace after the tribulation. The wrod only takes us so far in prophcey then stops. This is just an idea to expand on.
Yes, think about how we as humans have varying degrees of intelligence. Some are what we consider genius because of one ability that they do extremely well, Edison, Franklin, Da Vinci, Einstein, Washington-Carver etc...(Sorry, Science Rules! :peace:)
I think about how God made us to be curious and always wanting to explore and know things we don't know. How He has hidden mysteries for us to find (and we get so excited and think we are all that when we do!) when it's been here all along! How He gives us all different passions so that we won't be working on the same stuff at the same time!
When I think about all these things, then how He tells us we will only know in part. We were made in His image, so we only REPRESENT what and who He is.
My mind is blown! :excited: I can't comprehend it, just like I can't comprehend the idea of being with Him forever and thinking how he always have been.... :toomuch:
Great post, this thread needed to be lightened up badly. :rocknroll:
LOL! I have wondered this same thing! And..... how did he decide?
I've also always wondered............. what the Garden of Eden looks like. The Bible says God planted a Garden. Now, having done a little of that myself and having been on garden tours and heard people talk about their own gardens...... I wonder. What kind of garden would GOD plant?
Knowing the tiny little bitty bit I know about God, and having already observed the world He created, this is what I think:
It would be varied. It would be ordered, but not LOOK ordered. It would all fit and flow together without being obviously so. It would have fun elements in it (like a waterfall you could slide down). It would be a place where every step, every turn, everywhere you turn -- if you just look closely and take time -- you will see God in each part.
GodsLamb... that's awesome! I don't think I've ever thought about what the Garden of Eden would have looked like. That's interesting... it'll be on my mind all night now. lol.
Yeah, it's pretty amazing. I think God has made many, many, many more races and planets and galaxies...possibly a universe to each race of beings. Who knows?? God is infinite after all. I really don't think he sat around after creating angels...and I think He's older than this earth by a long shot. We just happened to be the ones created in His image...which I think was planned for, can't be a coincidence that the ones He created in His image are the same ones that fell to sin. Anyway, I don't know if anyone has watched any seminars by Kent Hovind or Carl Baugh but they have some pretty interesting theories about God's creation. I don't believe our planet is anything like what it started out as...or us for that matter. God tipped it out of balance with the flood. You think it's beautiful now? Just wait!!:yay:
