The Gospel About man's will:
Posted : 10 May, 2010 07:19 PM
For any that have been frustrated about the independence of man's will or you can say freedom of will, the good news has the answer that will set you free!!
Our best example of a man, choosing to not give place to his own will was the lord Jesus:Mr 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
One of the problems a new christian has is his soul, the part of man that makes up his mind and will and emotions. and when the bible speaks of the flesh in the new testament, it is speaking of the carnal nature or unregenerate part of Man.
When a man is born again only his heart or spirit are born again and his flesh or soul and body are to be governed by the inward man.
The flesh and body dominating the man is why you see so much division amongst christians, it is out of order.
Ro 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
notice the will of God is that man not let his flesh, mind, will and emotions to dominate him.
Ro 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Ro 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
here is our answer for the flesh, the soul and body:
Jas 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Ro 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Our flesh and body are in contact with the world and things of the world, but with our spirit we are in union with God
This is real good News
