Sorry for abandoning ya'll...just had a lot going on. Was also a little confused about the point of even bothering to "try" and "proliferate" what I believe, but came to the conclusion that it's more for myself and my walk than to try to convince others. I need this...and I've missed it. Kinda slacked off even more than usual in my own personal study and that is never good...so...I'm back. And just a warning...if you leave no room for error in your beliefs and your treatment of others, then I will not take you seriously. It is hypocritical to claim to have all truth and to KNOW other peoples beliefs are in error when we're all operating under the same human condition. If you can't admit that then you're just a prideful pharisee praying in the streets.

Luke 18:9 "And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted."

Matt. 18:23 "Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses."

Hopefully I can avoid that myself...but I'm only human as well...so...please forgive any future "humility faux pas". I'm still learning. Have to take a step forward to change though. This is me trying to walk.

I know there are doctrines in the bible that are so obvious everyone can(or should) agree on them...but for the rest of it...have a little mercy and just share what you believe instead of forcing your beliefs as infallible. Obviously someone is wrong and to say you can't possibly be in error is the same as saying you're better then everyone else...which is full of pride and prejudice...which causes people to judge you...which causes you to judge them...which causes ":boxing:WAARRR!! HERETIC!!:devil: FOOL!!:MrT: IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, IDIOT!!:stop::boxing::ribbit:"

Such a wonderful Christian witness/example...:goofball:and some people think "christians persecuting Christians in the last days" is so far fetched...

:peace::peace:

P.S. Maybe instead of separating ourselves into "Calvinists" or "Arminians", we should try "Humblicans" and "Pridefulsees" People from every denomination can join up and share their beliefs in their preferred method.

That is quit a disclaimer. Let's see if I have this right. If someone says you am wrong and tells you that you are wrong then they are, a prideful pharisee that thinks they're better then everyone else...which is full of pride and prejudice...

Interesting to say the least.

What is it you are afraid of? Someone being able to prove you wrong or you not being able to accept they can prove you wrong?

Mark! I'm glad to see you back, but I'm ever more glad that you were able to grow through this experience. I'm looking forward to what I'm sure will be riveting conversations in the future! Peace, brotha! :peace:

"Hmm...he doesn't like pride or hypocrisy...he must be scared someone might prove him wrong!" :rolleyes:

No, Darrell...I'm fine with people disagreeing and believing differently. I'm fine with people saying they believe I'm wrong, and attempting to prove it. What I'm not fine with is when someone doesn't have the humility to judge themselves with the same standard they use on other people. It screams "hypocrisy", and it applies to people from every faith. Including myself. I'm not trying to single anyone out. I'm not even saying someones beliefs are wrong/right. I'm not trying to gloss over stuff, or avoid discussion...I just think people need to take a step back and look at themselves before judging someone's faith/motives. Measure your own beliefs/intelligence/salvation with the same standard you use on other people.
