Always was confirmed:Mt 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Mt 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Lu 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
Lu 9:6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
Ro 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Ro 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
The gospel will always bring gospel results any time, any place, to any person preached, and whosover hear his words and believe them and call upon his name, shall receive. For Jesus Christ is the Same yesterday, today and forever.
The problem is that those who quote many scripture on this site, have many to put forth. They can quote scriptres BUT the scriptures can't quote their lives as in conduct, behavior, speech, etc.
There is a FORM of godliness being displayed... but when the rubber meets the road, we all see and have seen the true character , behavior, speech, and conduct of those who would have us to think they are SPIRITUAL. BUT, what they fail to know and have they missed the point. God does not call us to be spiritual, but HE CALLS US TO BE ...WHAT?... HOLY! AS HE IS HOLY!... which is to mean displaying the FRUIT OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT, which is the character and personality of Jesus Christ.
One thing for sure that we know, you CANNOT fake being HOLY BY DISPLAYING A FORM OF HOLINESS.
BUT you can display BEING GODLY WITH A FORM OF GODLINESS.
I realize this maybe spiritually deep for many, because the spiritual things are discerned not with a carnal mind but a spiritual mind and are understood through the Holy Spirit of God. Not many spiritual minded people up in heerrrrrre...
Benny Acts 2:36 is an example of preaching, and the result or response of people.
Here is another example of preaching, that also confirms the cover to cover principle of the bible and receiving from God.
verse five of ch 4 reveals the response of the preaching
Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
PJ, I liked your topic. Very basic, yet it needed to be heard. One thing that kind of stuck out to me was that in all those verses about Jesus going out and spreading the Good News, as well as the apostles, they were always spreading the Word to those who were in the darkness. You never saw them beating a dead horse, so to speak. If those that heard the message disagreed or refused to listen, they never repeatedly argued with these people. They preached their message, and moved along to the next site. We should follow that example. To many people on this site have it in their minds that if they keep slamming others with the same scriptures and arguments that they will get their way... is that why we're here? Something for us all to think about... Thanks for the post, man.
