Would rather communicate with a smart alic than an idiot. :goofball:

Go a head and talk about me while I am gone so I can come back to a good laugh! :nahnah:

So where is the "Fruit of the Spirit" in this thread? How is poking fun at Phillip, mocking at Phillip, treating Phillip without love in any way a demonstration of the Fruit of the Spirit? It is not. It is the fruit of evil doing. The fruit of the flesh. And those who laugh along with you are just as guilty.

Proverbs 21:24 A proud and haughty man"Scoffer" is his name; He acts with arrogant pride.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,

21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

In Christ,

Walter

I just want to jump in here and say something (hopefully w/out getting attacked!!!).

I've been registered here for almost 3 weeks now and I have to say that I'm appalled at the posts in this particular forum. If these posts were here on the day I signed up and looked around, I probably would have immediately left. Or... How about this... If I was a non-Christian, or even just someone stumbling in my faith, who happened upon these topics, I'd be completely turned-off from Christianity. Attacking each other, and starting topic after topic aimed at that, is extremely unbecoming and ungodly behaviour.

I don't even care who's right and who's wrong at this point... And I really don't want to sift through all of these horrible posts to figure it out. But, I do know that treating each other in the manner that some of you do is absolutely wrong, regardless of your personal beliefs about God and the Bible. Being unkind and cruel is never justified. And if you don't believe in being kind or don't recall God' Word instructing us to be kind, send me off a message and I'd be happy to point out some verses to you =)

And Steve... maybe you can help me understand something here... I'm looking at a certain thread:

Decided what to do...

Posted : 29 Apr, 2010 04:34 AM

Mark..........I know we disagree on just about everything! But Ive always respected you and enjoyed our debates at times,of course ive been a bit overzealous at times,I apologize for offending you in any way.......and I agree we should calm down and take a step back,.................I do consider you a brother, and i feel like I know you,so again Im sorry for anything I might have said;............In Christ.......Steve

And then less than an hour later, you started this topic. Can you help me understand how one can believe an apology from you to be sincere when you apologize but then immediately revert back to the same behaviour? I'm confused??

It is good to keep in mind that some have such an habit of constantly demonizing others that by consequence of their own provocative way, they make others loose their patience and have them scream, shout and call names.

Some have left, others boil over. But to me it is perfectly clear, that the so called victims are not at all innocent in this whole situation.

So spare me the preaching

I didn't say that the victim here is innocent. None of us are "innocent." What I am saying is that I think the mudslinging and cruelty needs to stop. And that's not just directed towards Steve. I've observed at least a 1/2 dozen people in this particular forum who consistently are being rude and mean. There is a polite, loving, godly way to disagree with someone or to debate something and I haven't really seen that happening in this forum.

@Pixy

Of course it is wrong but you only post now when it has already happened.

Others have been posting and complaining about it and have left.

Others have posted about it, and were not listened at

Others have been posting and are still being treated wrong by those who are being treated wrong now.

So you say it is not christian and you say it has to stop. Others agree it is not christian and it has to stop.

But until now it still goes on!

People leave, people boil over, and still there will be those who simply do not change.
