greeks - those who seek after wisdom (all the izm, skizms..)

jews - those who seek after a sign (when shall Jesus return?)

believers - those who accept the doctrine of Christ crucified. (thank you LORD)

all the possible sub-categories fall under one of these. where do you stand?

I guess I'm a believing hellenistic (=greek) jew then. I do believe, but I also cannot refrain from seeking wisdom or looking for signs...

Guess I'm really mulicultural, eh?:winksmile:

"jews - those who seek after a sign (when shall Jesus return?)"

Shouldn't this read; Jews - Those who seek the messiah (Waiting for the Christ).

Jews (not including the Messianic Jews) don't believe that Jesus was the messiah so why would they be waiting for his return?

I am not seeking for signs and I find earthly wisdom in everyone else so I guess that makes me a believer. But not because the others do not fit. I have much and many reasons to say thank you my Lord.

inhishonor....i cannot add nor take away from the word of God!!

1 Corinthians 1:20-25 (King James Version)

22For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

23But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

in those times there was not penticostal, or messianic or reformed etc.... and as i said, the sub categories WILL fit in under one of those... i am neither ethninically or culturally jew or greek, but if i were an academic i would fit in under "greek" because i seek after wisdom.

since i believe in Christ crucified i am a believer, and that is why i say thank you Lord.

There should be only one if you are born again, with no sub categories.

My apologies, it was brought to my attention the you were pulling this from a verse but in my tired state I was having brain difficulties in identifying it :ROFL:

Since you had three categories: Jews, Greeks, and Believers.

I will take Believers.:dancingp::rocknroll:

I don't think there is a sub category for that but I can be mistaken.
