Christians in Sports (Part one of a two part question)

Praise The Glorious LORD And SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, and Peace be unto the Saints of The Most HIGH GOD.
Beloved, as many profess salvation in CHRIST in all or nearly every walk of Life, my question is: What is your view on Christians Participating in Sports (Such as boxing, wrestling, football, hockey, ufc, etc). Some sports can be very violent and brutal. And when dealing with profession sports there's so much Gambling involved. This is part one of a two part question, so please, if you give an answer, check for my future response (The LORD Permitting me to make one) which may challenge the answer you give. So I ask that we would seek the LORD seriously concerning this issue, so that we don't contradict ourselves in answering. Amen.

Good afternoon
Christians participating in violent and brutal sports like, you state, boxing, football, wrestling, hockey.
Personally I have no christian friends professionally involved in those sports but I have the impression that boxers and footballers do not consider themselves violent or brutal. They think there are certain risks, more than in some other sports, to become violently or brutally injured. They all seem to think that the rules of the game are fair and clear and if you cannot stomach it, then do not watch or participate in it.
I have not heard a church to forbid to participate on those sports. Yet I know a lot of mothers who do not want their sons on those kind of sports. I also know a lot of fathers who actually do not mind. One tries to become a professional, basically because others believe that you (and them) can make money with it. Often you are selected and sometimes it does not even matter if the person actually likes the sport...
I think that the public of for instance a boxing game is far more violent and brutal minded than the sporter himself as I have the impression that they do not want to see the winner stand but want to see the loser go down... they actually cheer for that! Also films with martial arts fighting are very popular. It seems to me that nowadays you should not kill someone with a bullit but if you kung fu them to death, it is pretty cool.
If christians cannot be a professional boxer or footballer, I do not know. After all, they are not doing the gambling. And I think the football or boxing games (although I do not watch those games) are not as violent as normal life on the street where people get brutally and violently hurt or killed to steal 5,00 dollars out of ones pocket.
If it comes to violence and brutality, one can also ask if a christian can go in the army or can become a judge, or a politician....Someone who has a company and competes his fellowman to bankruptcy... is that christian or is it the name of the game?
And what about lawyers? They earn a lot of money getting guilty criminals off the hook allowing them to continue their criminal curriculum unpunished...I fail to see the justice, imagine the christianity.
High placed bank executives....what have we seen from them lately. Well I can go on and on.
I cannot recall anything that God says about practicing sports. However, I think that passively, we tolerate a lot of violence and brutality in our society, mostly because we have no power to make it all disappear. But when I was young (a long time ago) there was just the sports. Even professional players stars had normal salaries and everybody was in it for the sport. Now I feel that everybody is in it for the money.
Money and God... one cannot idol them both (even without violence)

i can't think of a Biblical reason not to be involved in sports, though it would't be my choice. If i had a son who wanted to be involved in sport i would worry about him, no question, but i doubt i'd forbid it.
The violence, yes there can be a lot of violence in sports however its part of the game and everyone who chooses to play know what they're getting into. Its not as if they're being ambushed in a dark alley somewhere. They're tough and they train hard in order to handle themselves when things get rough.
gambling... athletes can not control what the fans do, and they shouldn't have that responsibility laid on their shoulders. They're only responsible for what they do in their lives.

I think it is great that there are Christians playing professional sports! They play sports for all every "normal" person to watch, but off the field they are also just another person. They need a Savior just as much as the next person, and if there is already someone in their profession that can share that Savior with them - well I personally think that is awesome! God will people wherever they are!
