Trust Him (Who knows what he is doing)

The lord is really teaching me and showing more each day how to live in peace and just trust him. To give you the idea to what i mean and what hes showing me. You know how you might say start your day with all these plans. Then say half way through the day, things change or something happens and it all changes, and you don't get the things done you planned on getting done. Well the lord may just have another plan, so he allowed the change. Sometimes we even get flustrated, because of change, but we should all just learn as Paul told us, which he said he has learned the secret of being happy in all things. He learned how to trust Gods will and Gods plan for him. Just like Paul in prison. Had he not been in prison, you think he would have wrote mant of the books of the Bible that he did? What may look or seem bad through our eyes, the Lord can be using for his glory. Who knows what God may have instore. His plans could be much greater then ours. So be at peace in all things and praise him in whatever happens, because who knows what he has planned. Plus, everything here on this earth is just worthless, compared to knowing Christ and the salvation we have through him in heaven.

Amen Brother Cowboy

Commit your way to the Lord,

Trust also in Him,

And He shall bring it to pass (Ps 37:5)

Your right Cowboy sometimes it is hard to keep a joyous heart when things don't go exactly the way you planed them but I keep my eyes on the Lord, trusting in Him for His directions. WHY? Because they are always soooooo GOOD!

This is true day to day AND year to year. It is one thing to adapt to a change in divine plans from day to day, or as cowboy indicated, halfway through the day.

The same principle applies to a major change in the course of our lives as well. Like making the adjustment of a career change, or seeing a grandchild die, or going through divorce, or finding that your parents who once lived independently are now needing continual care, or a son, who was one day at home after grade school, is now in Washington D.C. as an intern.

We need to keep our spiritual eyes and ears open to see and comprehend what the Lord is doing now at this moment, and jump on board (James 4:13-15; Joshua 3:5; Matthew 6:33).

You never know what the Lord has in store. One day you are conversing with a friend, and the next day its over and you don't hear from them again. It hurts, you don't know why, you are confused, but you rest in the Lord and try to assume the best.

CCowboy... thanks for the post.... yes, yes...

The longer we live, if we pay attention we begin to understand God's ways.... not His "whys", but his ways. He is a lamp unto our feet, a light unto our path. But we have to totally rely on Him. If we say "Lord, order our steps", and we design our own plan, well.. we have to know when He doesn't allow our plans to go as we designed, we have to remember we "did" ask Him to "order our steps".

Also, when we get these little shakeups going against "our wind", it's all the more important that we become more and more trusting in knowing, even though He may change our plans up a little bit, most often times we see that the final result is one of protection (because He loves us), plans not to harm us but to give us the best. As we go along our way we remember Phil 4:19 that ... our God will supply all our needs according to HIS riches in glory in Christ Jesus. He may have a whole set of different plans than what we got drafted our for our day or our future. ~ GraceMae

IREAD YOUR ARTICLE ON CHANGE AND IT IS SO TRUE, IT CAN BE A HARD LESSON TO LEARN BECAUSE WE ALWAYS WANT TO BE IN CONTROL OF ALL THATS HAPPENING , THE BEST WAAY FOR GOD TO BREAK US AND MAKE US SUBMIT TO HIS PLAN, IS TO CHANGE OUR LIFES TO A POINT THAT WE HAVE VERY LITTLE POWER TO DO ANYTHING WITHOUT HIM
