1 Corinthians 5 :1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
I think we are supposed to judge fellow Christians(with love and humility). I'm pretty sure that if someone got on here saying that "abortion was ok"....even cattleman would be on the "judging wagon"...but probably in a nicer way than me, lol. We have to remember though...in the apostles day there was only one "church". Now there are 1,000's. A device of Satan? Probably. But what one of us consider "truth", is considered "blasphemy" by someone else....and it causes some deep divides. Maybe we should have some denominationally-specific forums, lol...otherwise...I'm afraid this part of the forums will always be a "bible-interpretation" battleground...and it's not going to stop. We all feel like we must defend the truth, and it's true! We all should. But we should also be a little more humble, and at least willing to listen to other views without throwing "Imrightyourewrong" bombs around. I'm not claiming innocence either...I know I have serious problems with certain beliefs and denominations and I don't cut them much slack. Where's Arch and Manofgod?:boxing::boxing: And the guy that was saying Jesus was a polygamist?:boxing: Anyway...I have been learning and trying to be more humble...but it's hard when everyone is not on the same page. Maybe we should limit the censorship to direct personal insults or something...because like someone else was saying...it's really hard to talk about religious beliefs and not offend a ton of people. Hey...this is a dating site....maybe we could just remove this forum section! Or just talk about happy lovey things that we all can agree on...like some of the ladies want!

Mark, that's awesome!! You made me laugh out loud!.... Literally!!!
On a more serious note, I believe we can all have a Biblical discussion without being offended. Yes, we are composed of many, many denominations with many, many different beliefs, but I think it has alot to do with the delivery. Personally, I'm a whole lot more openminded when I feel someone is talking to me respectfully (and that's in regards to any topic). It has become natural for us to become defensive when we feel we are under attack. When I feel this way, I try to stop and think, "Ok. Mark (just using you as an example) is a Christian, he is flawed just like me, maybe he didn't understand exactly what I was trying to convey, or maybe he's just having a bad day, I'm going to use kind words and try to explain myself better and if he still disagrees, it's ok because I'll still see him in Heaven. The Bible says Vengence is His, so I'm going to let it go. I won't have to stand in judgement for him."
In my opinion, there is a line we, as Christians, have to walk especially when dealing with these matters. It's sortof like terminal velocity. There comes a point in a debate that's heated, when we are doing more harm than good. I try to swallow my pride and hurt feelings and look at the big picture. "How am I representing God? Is He proud of the way I'm acting? Am I becoming a stumbling block?"... That sortof thing.
