Has anyone ever noticed that the truth liberates people, so why are so many christians making it a sin issue with unbelievers, Unbelievers need Jesus and they will no longer have to be in bondage to sin.

Something that has been shared with me and I'm tending to believe it to be true....When we share Jesus with others we as Christians usually want to share with them that if they come to Jesus that they'll find peace and happiness and while this is true, being a Christian draws attention from Satan and from society in general. So if these people turn to God simply for peace and happiness, they are going to be disappointed because we as Christians know that we face tribulations for His name's sake. However, if we show them the law, the Ten Commandments and show them how we all fall short, but will have to face God's judgment some day, then they will turn to God and have a better understanding of the fear of God and they won't turn as easily away from Him. So I'm not sure if this adds any insight to what you're talking about but I felt led to share this...

What do you mean by "making it a sin issue"? Are you saying we shouldn't mention sin when we are witnessing to non-believers?

Yes you can but, I find most believers do not even know what the bible teaches us concerning this matter, It is the goodness of God that brings men to repentance.

2nd Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christs stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Hey buddy:)

Sin is and should be a large issue when witnessing, if someone doesnt understand that they have sinned and deserve the wrath of a Holy God why would they need a saviour? The Bible say's that the law of God is perfect, converting the soul, also that "the law is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ" . It remind's me of the parable that Jesus said about the one who was forgiven much and the one forgiven little, if we do not understand the wickedness of our sin and the price that a Holy God had to pay to free us from the conceqences of it, then He will not be precious to us. In evangelism I have found "the way of the master" ministry to be the best biblical demonstration, you can find them on youtube or their own site, very empowering, God bless.
