1 Cor 2:9, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, What God has prepared for those who love Him, What does these words mean to you?

I think it means that no man has either seen anything or heard anything or felt anything in his heart that can compare to what God has prepared for us.

usb... For me, well... I have no idea of God's power in my life unless I willingly yield to trust him for that which I don't see. I can think that I know He or His promises and my inheritance, but I can never quantify it in my own terms or estimation. "All that God has perpared for those who love Him"... and I love Him, I have no idea His magnitude of blessings in my life. He can do more abundantly exceedingly more than I could ever hope for.

Your passage was a good one to put out here,. The prior passage 2:7 says "but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory" ... inclusive to my response. Because much of God's actions and blessing in my life are a mystery, I can never bottle up His blessing lest they bust the bottle! Most times I never expect them or the level to which He does bless me.

Thank you. ~ GraceMae

I feel it means that things are just going to get better. Just as becoming a Christian took me to a "level" I'd never imagined possible, It goes to show just how much more He has to offer

One aspect of what that means is the natural or carnal man can not discern or perceive anything of God. The best and highest that we can dream would come woefully short of God's purpose and intention for the church. But the next verse says in part..."but God hath revealed these things by His Spirit..."

So unless we have the Spirit of revelation at work in our lives, all we have is lofty ideas and concepts of God and His purpose but no true understanding. There is a great need for discernment in the church today and a great need for genuine revelation of the Holy Ghost, not generally what is called revelation today by many.

Yes this is true. God reveals His purpose through the Holy Spirit and it is according to His will and timing. Every revelation has a PURPOSE and not intended for just a "manifestation" of the gifts a Christian has. A pastor's wife in my former church had this knack of giving prophecies

about our country and the world, at every intercessory meeting we had, saying she had this "dream" where God spoke to her and told her thus. My other sisters in faith followed with similar "dreams" and "confirmations". This is not God's revelation, it is carnal.
