Who Will Repopulate the Earth in the Millennium?

Hi Everyone,

One of the most frequent objections raised to the Post-Trib position is there would be no one left to repopulate the Earth in a Post-Tribulation Rapture scenario. I will have to rewrite my article and then post it later because the article was not saved. I hate when I mess up like that. LOL

Here are some scriptures that deal with this and clearly demonstrate that there will in fact be unsaved people on Earth when Christ is ruling. After all who does Christ rule with a Rod of Iron? Who does Christ have to force submission to? There is a 3rd group of people that Pretribbers have not considered. The below passages of scriptures are Prophecies concerning the Millennial Kingdom when Christ reigns upon the Earth in His physical body.

Isa 2:2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD's house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.

3 Many people shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.

Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be "The LORD is one," And His name one.

16 And it shall come to pass THAT EVERYONE WHO IS LEFT of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

17 And it shall be that whichever of THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

18 If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Eze 36:24 For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.

25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

Eze 36:36 Then the nations WHICH ARE LEFT all around you shall know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken it, and I will do it."

Blessings!

...um...I thought all the wicked/unsaved were destroyed with the brightness of His coming? If you're not saved, then you're going to die...seems like the verses you quoted are talking about the rebuilding of Jerusalem before Jesus came to die. The Earth will be destroyed and desolate during the millennium...Christ's 1,000 year reign is in heaven, not on Earth.

Hi Don,

Those verses are actually talking about the future Millennial Kingdom. It is a misconception that there are only two groups of people Saved and dead. lol Who does Christ rule with a rod of iron over? Who does He have to discipline in His Kingdom. Who are we ruling a reigning over along with Christ? The verses describe a 3rd group. The unsaved.

Hi Don,

Please also consider these verses.

Rev 2:26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations

27 'HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; THEY SHALL BE DASHED TO PIECES LIKE THE POTTER'S VESSELS' as I also have received from My Father;

28 and I will give him the morning star.

29 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." ' NKJV

Above John is recording a prophecy from Psalms. See below.

Psa 2:6 "Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion."

7 "I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel.' "

Rev 12:5 She bore a male Child who was to RULE ALL NATIONS WITH A ROD OF IRON. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

Rev 19:15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. NKJV

So we see that Christ rules and reigns over the Nations with a Ron of Iron during His Millennial Kingdom. Who are these people, these Nations that Christ is ruling over? They are not Christians. Why?

The below passage reveals that WE Christians are going to be ruling and reigning with Christ for 1000 years. This passage must be taken literally. There is no Biblical reason to think it was meant as some kind of allegory.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, AND SHALL REIGN WITH HIM A THOUSAND YEARS.

1Cor 15:23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming.

24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. NKJV

So apparently during Christ's reign on Earth there are enemies that He must put under His feet.

2Tim 2:12 If we endure, WE SHALL ALSO REIGN WITH HIM. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.

It is also clear we shall reign with Christ. So who are WE and Christ reigning over. It is obviously not Christians and obviously not people who are in hell. It is also not the Nation of Israel as the scriptures state that all of Israel will be saved when Christ returns.

Rom 11:26 And so ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED, as it is written: "THE DELIVERER WILL COME OUT OF ZION, AND HE WILL TURN AWAY UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB;

Rom 11:27 FOR THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS."

So it leaves only one other real possibility.

Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be "The LORD is one," And His name one.

16 And it shall come to pass....

THAT EVERYONE WHO IS LEFT OF ALL THE NATIONS WHICH CAME AGAINST Jerusalem.....

shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

NKJV

There is much more to this. Who are these people below? Also i have not addressed the "Children" who will be left.

Rev 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. NKJV

There will be people on this Earth who will survive the Great Tribulation and not take the Mark of the Beast. These people AND their OFFSPRING will repopulate the Earth during Christ's Millennial reign of which WE are co-reigning with Him. Then Satan is released one more time to tempt these people and will draw some or many away and they will rebel against God and then they will be destroyed. So you see there are other people who will be here.

Blessings!

Good post Walter! Also when we consider what it says in Rev.7:9-10, After this I looked and there before me was a great mulittude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of The Lamb,They were wearing white robes and waving palm branches in their hands. And they cried in a loud voice,Salvation belongs to Our God,who sits on the throne and to the Lamb,

Verse 13,then one of the Elders asked me,Those in white robes-who are they?

Verse 14, I answered,"Sir you know"

And He said,These are they who have come out of great tribulation,They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of The lamb,So these people are at Gods throne probably celebrating at the feast of Tabernacles after Christ has already set up His Throne at Jerusalem

...um...but if they're unsaved then they're wicked right? Doesn't Jesus destroy the wicked with the brightness of His coming? Sounds to me like those verses are saying God will destroy them, not "rule" over them per se...."break them to pieces", "tread out the wrath of God upon them"....but I don't know, I'll have to study this "new" stuff out. Seems like a stretch to me though. And why does God need these people to repopulate the earth? Wouldn't that bring new souls into existence that might need salvation? Wouldn't these new souls have a chance to receive Christ, and if so...when do they get their reward if Jesus already brought it with Him the first time? Anyway...just brings a lot of questions that don't make much sense...but I'll look into it some more.

Hi Don,

Who does Christ "Rule over" ..."with a Rod of iron" which means a rod of correction? Certainly not Christians since we are also ruling and reigning with Him. This isn't, new stuff. Perhaps new to you.

So who are these people below?

ec 14:9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.

NKJV

These people are obviously not Christians because they "came against Jerusalem". These people who are "non-believers" obviously lived through the Great Tribulation.

Blessings!

The gentiles came against Jerusalem many times. They were eventually given a chance to enter into salvation, just like the Jews. I would say...that would be you and me. Gentiles grafted into the vine of Israel. Are you trying to say unsaved people are forced to take part in the Feast of Tabernacles, instead of being destroyed in hell? That doesn't make sense...if they're unsaved, that means they're sinners....and if they're sinners, that means they have a place in the lake of fire. Why would sinners be keeping feasts? No...I believe all sinners are dead while we are spending our 1,000 years in heaven judging them. I believe the only beings alive on the face of the earth during that time are Satan and possibly his angels. God is going to destroy sin...how does He do that if He rules over sinners? Or is He supposed destroy them at the end of the 1000 years?

And yes...it is new to me...that's kinda what I meant:goofball:...I read the bible and have never come across anything that led me to believe that God rules over unconverted people during the millennium. Kills them...yes. Judges them...yes. Destroys them in fire after 1000 years...yes. "Ruling over them" seems like a reach...and a pointless one...what is this "ruling" supposed to accomplish?

I think Don is confused about the Lawless One {False prophet,Leader of the New World Order,Beast???}whom Christ will destroy with the brightness of His coming, 2 Thes 2:8 This is not talking about the general population of people who are left. The lawless One is very likely a proud pampus self centered individual who is so wicked that he has committed the unpardenable sin
