Dead ,,,, Men!!!

heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises.

32And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, Barak, Samson, etc etc.

33Who through faith stopped the mouths of lions. 34Quenched the violence of fire,

escaped the edge of the sword, , waxed valiant in fight,

35Women received their dead raised to life again:

and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance;

that they might obtain a better resurrection:

36And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder,

were tempted, were slain with the sword:

they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins;

being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

38(Of whom the world was not worthy:)

they wandered in deserts, and in mountains,

and in dens and caves of the earth.

39And these all, having received not the promise:

40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Is the church attracting men and women who are willing to give their life for him?

I use to dangled all the benefits of god before those who we're lost while preaching from the pulpit,,,,, I would say,

'' Give your life to Jesus and everything will work out for you''

''God will give you a better job' 'just give your life to jesus and

'' He will bring your wife and husband back home'

''' He will save your children'' '' He will heal you'''.

I was younger then and know better now;

Preaching benefits,,, before surrender,, leads to bitterness and weakness. ,,,,yes,,,,, thats right,,,,

Preaching benefits,,, before surrender,,,,,

Our leaders today are not the same kind of men and women in hebrews 11 who gave their lives for this gospel we so proudly claim to believe in.

My heart speaks loudly,,,,, It,,, Must,,, Be,,,

'' A Life for a Life''.

'' He gave his Life and we must Give Him Our Life''.

Not a tempory help in time of need, but an enternal exchange for eternity.

(( His life )) Was given in life and on the cross,

,In his prayer in the garden,, not his will but the fathers,,

(( Our life)) in the Gospel is shown in the pearl of great price.

'' the hidden treasure'' Willing to lay it all down,,,, not eating from the vine but becoming the branch and vine becoming one.

When I offered the benefits before surrender I was younger

Fact is,, we cannot apeal to the apetites of flesh as and atraction or divice to get men saved.

Jesus spoke to the crowd and said '' you are not following me because of the miracles that I did but because of the bread I fed you. He wanted followers that were looking for the devine and God part,,, not because of what god could offer them.

Dont missunderstand me,,, God will deliever you, set you free, save you,, but men have given their life for this gospel.

The true source of revival is powerful.

It is The Blood of Jesus,,, And for that blood to properly be applied we must surrender ourselves to him.

That is the benefit that should be dangled in front of the lost ,,

WE ARE THE REDEEMED,,, BLOOD BOUGHT,,, SPIRIT LED,

We are Becoming a Part of SOMETHING BIGGER THAN THEMSELVES,,,, .

World changing men and women of god that are in the church to give their lives to him,,,,

If he brings your husband back so be it,,,

If he saves your children we hope and believe,,,

But ,,If ,, He,, Does,, Nothing,, Else,,

But save me,, , Deliever me,,, Adopts me as his child,,,

and Gives me eternal rest, Glory to our god in the highest,,,

The attraction to the lost cannot be, will not be,, and should not be a promise of something more..... some of the men mentioned in heb, were slained, crucified, beheaded, tortured, dieing in the faith. WE KNOW MANY WERE FED TO LIONS..

I feel the heart of God is looking for a man and women who is looking to give God their life and not just their tithes.

Thats why I am excited! Because the price of our life is not to much to ask of us when others have given their lifes for this gospel we claim.

Please remember, Hebrews says that the martyers are waiting for us before they can receive their rewards. How will todays church look them in the face and tell them I came to God because I though god was going to do this and that for me and these men have died for this message.

There is something powerful about presenting the unadulterated cross and blood of jesus. A life for a Life.

The lost will become a part of something bigger than man and themselves,,,,,, when that type of gospel is represented in the churches again like the apostles preached then we will see a world changing revival.

I dont expect many to side with me on this but I know what causes men to give their lives to God and what causes men to just come as if it was a relgious event,,,,,

Something bigger than me,

Something bigger than you,,,, is at work here,,,,,

CHRIST JESUS, the one who died for us,,,(( IS )) THE LIGHT of the WORLD!!!

Thats not a question but a fact.

I do feel there is an accountability to our heritage. At my age, I am an "old schooler!" We can't aquire the benefit package without the purchase of the policy. In other words we shouldn't expect the things of God to flourish in our lives until we have made that utlimate purchanse. We first have to sell out to Jesus in order to reap the rewards. When totally going the long haul, our wants and desires change. It becomes less of me and more of Him. I was the only one saved in my home for many years. I prayed for my father to be saved from the time I was thirteen until twenty-two. It took my dad losing both of his limbs to turn to God. Did God do it to afflict him.. No...It rains on the just and unjust...Did God change the circumstance...Yes...! God is God...He will hear our prayers but not always in the way we expect and He doesn't make phony promises, either. We are living in an "ear tickler" generation and it's time to awaken out of self absorbed sleep. We have got to stop asking what God can do for us and instead ask "What can We do for God?" The harvest is truely white unto harvest but the laborers, few...

I am ready to once again experience the awesome glory of God as in the days of old. We have lost our first love. It is time to rekindle it!
