Dead ,,,, Men!!!Posted : 22 Jun, 2008 06:07 PMI do feel there is an accountability to our heritage. At my age, I am an "old schooler!" We can't aquire the benefit package without the purchase of the policy. In other words we shouldn't expect the things of God to flourish in our lives until we have made that utlimate purchanse. We first have to sell out to Jesus in order to reap the rewards. When totally going the long haul, our wants and desires change. It becomes less of me and more of Him. I was the only one saved in my home for many years. I prayed for my father to be saved from the time I was thirteen until twenty-two. It took my dad losing both of his limbs to turn to God. Did God do it to afflict him.. No...It rains on the just and unjust...Did God change the circumstance...Yes...! God is God...He will hear our prayers but not always in the way we expect and He doesn't make phony promises, either. We are living in an "ear tickler" generation and it's time to awaken out of self absorbed sleep. We have got to stop asking what God can do for us and instead ask "What can We do for God?" The harvest is truely white unto harvest but the laborers, few... |
