Admin	How can we know? Posted : 27 Dec, 2009 06:11 AM How can we know If we are not being led astray? Can we be sure? How can all these different churches be right? Some of their beliefs are as different as night and day! Remember as Rev.12:9, Says{NIV} The ancient Serpent called the devil and Satan,Who leads the whold world astray. Jesus Christ Himself warned, that in these �last days� before His second coming, there would be many false churches, false prophets. He declared, �Take heed that NO MAN DECEIVE YOU. For many shall come IN MY NAME� � that is, professing to be His servants, carrying His name, calling themselves �Christian� � �saying, I am Christ; and shall DECEIVE MANY� (Mat.24:4-5). Do we believe that or do we just shrug it off so as not to get out of our comfort zone? Remember Christ warned us it would be in the last days! The apostle Paul warned the Corinthian Church in his day, �But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the SIMPLICITY that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, ye might well bear with him� (II Cor.11:3-4). They preach a false Jesus and a false gospel! Paul continued, �For such are FALSE APOSTLES, deceitful workers, transforming THEMSELVES into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works� (II Cor.11:13-15). So our works do count when all is said and done! Question...How do you know that you are following God and His Word and is not just part of the Great Deception of Satan in the last days?Is there a way to know? What is it that SEPARATES a true body of believers and Christians, who comprise a true �Church of God,� from a FALSE Church, one which merely �professes� Christ, and looks righteous on the outside only? Answer..The Holy Spirit Of God! How, then, can we recognize the Spirit of God? God's Spirit accomplishes two things in our lives. First, as Jesus said,And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth� (John 14:16-17). God�s Spirit is the Spirit of TRUTH. It is violently opposed to any and all error, and will not embrace error! When a person who has God's Spirit comes across error, he will flee from it; he will repent of it and abhor it like a filthy, detestable, abominable thing! Jesus declared, �Howbeit when he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH: for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come� (John 16:13). God�s Spirit will guide us into truth and out of error. It will open our eyes to understand NEW TRUTH from God. It will reveal to us the hidden, wonderful mysteries locked in the Word of God. An individual which is continually growing in truth, and grace and knowledge of Christ, the evidence shows, has the Spirit of God. Any person which resists new revealed truth, or denies it or shrugs it off with a spirit of apathy and neglect, shows it either as not important does not have the Spirit of God, or else that Spirit is fast disappearing from their ranks, being grieved by their carnal, selfish, rebellious attitude! How, then, can we recognize the Spirit of God? What are its fruits? Knowledge alone is not the answer. Impressive CHURCH buildings are not the answer. Beautiful Cathedrals, landscaping, lush campuses, and mass circulation magazines are not the answer. If you are impressed by those things, you will be deceived. The apostle Paul wrote, �But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law� (Gal.5:22-23). And how do we receive Gods Holy Spirit? Acts 5:32,God gives His Holy Spirit to those who OBEY HIM! The Key to recognizing any individual who is truly Christian is to do what Jesus said. � LOOK AT THE FRUITS they are producing! Ask yourself, am I growing in grace and knowledge of My Lord and Saviour? Am I willing to repent and change my ways when truth is pointed out to me by The Word of God or do I stubbornly resist, clinging to what I have always believed? Post Reply

I really believe that there IS a special light in those who beleive and walk in the the Word of God. The Holy Spirit helps us in discerning and being able to differentiate and sift through the Word of God to help us see non-truth. It is SO important that we look at the Word of God with our OWN eyes, because that is key to hearing deciphering through bibilical teachings that sure enough sounds sweet, like it "could" be right, but that's were the Holy Spirit comes and and you start to questioning and then you go check things out for yourself. Also, there is a spiritual nature that develops up in each one of us. The more of the Word of God in your spirit, I feel that's what gives you the warning signs in people and what we get fed and who we allow to feed us. Thank you for blessing us. GraceMae Post Reply
