Posted : 19 Jun, 2008 08:34 PM when a child is born the husband and wife become one flesh everything else is simply not true. Now I know the ones who want to spiritualize everything will say different. I also like to look at the spiritual side of things but that saying is not backed up anywhere else in the word of God as pertaining to one flesh. Let us rightly divide the word of truth. I dont have to tell you that our children though favouring one more than the other still has both of us in them and they are a part of both persons becoming one flesh. So your question is ''why does god want the man to become one flesh with the woman'' it is not that God wants us to become one flesh as much as it is a fact they will If she is not past age for child bearing and he is not impotient. last you said '' and not be ashamed, neither one of them''. Since woman was taken from man, she was part of his flesh, thus one flesh. Neither one was ashamed of their nakedness because they had not yet sinned and partaken from the tree of wisdom. The next chapter of Genesis goes into the first great sin. The rebuking of God and accepting the wishes of the devil. Post Reply

Posted : 20 Jun, 2008 03:15 PM May GOD'S peace be with you, Crisp and thank you for inviting opinions on explaining GOD'S purpose or will. It's my opinion that GOD is into relationships. With relationships comes love which shouldn't have shame for it would damage the relationship. This would explain our relationship with HIM and not having shame in confessing HIS name before others. HE did say HE would be shameful of us before our Heavenly Father. SO, I would only speculate HIS purpose was a very strong bonding in relationships. I pray this is useful for you. GOD bless.
