Gay Marriage/Homosexuals/God's Kingdom

I know this is a sensitive subject, but who has any deeper truth, insight, or thoughts to share? I don't want to offend anyone, especially people on here who are gay who seek to make a sincere, faith based connection.

I know that God designed man and woman to unite on all levels, and that marriage should only be between man and woman, so how do you deal with same sex relationships? (besides God's command to love all people)

Can two gay, Christian people be married, and still be called Christians? I'm wondering? No ill-intentions here.

I have a cousin who is gay. He considers himself a Christian.

He had a stroke several years ago at a young age, and his life is severely challenged. He's my family. I love him. So, please know there is no prejudice here. I'm not racist either.

My ex-girlfriend is an ex-Muslim from Morocco who is now a born-again, baptizied, Holy Spirit infused Christian. So, I can do my best to objectively understand many things, but as Christians.... God's Word ultimately has to be our Authority on all matters. Not what we pick and choose.

Also, can a homosexual really enter into God's Kingdom?

I can think of one bible verse:

Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulters, nor effeminate, nor homesexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the Kingdom of God. ( 1 Cor. 6:9-10)

Pretty straightforward. No room for error. Harsh it may even sound to outsiders, but God's Word, nonetheless.

Can anyone help me out on this one?

Thanks-Will

Sorry, I didn't know this was a gay dating sight too. But if you want deliverance you should confess and repent of it.

For a guy who graduated from bible college, some real and relevant truth would have been valued.

However, if God were grading on a curve, I'm sure He would give you extra points for sarcasm. BTW, I have visited Portland, OR. Nice area. My best childhood friend lives there.

The next time I visit, I'll knock on your door and ask you this question in person. :)

Go with the flow of the Holy Spirit-

Sorry you took it as sarcasm, it was meant as comedy. But it is still the truth. By the way did you know Portland Oreg. has the highest lesbian population for it's size in the US? We are now on our third gay mayor. He has still avoided a recall about over a scandal involving an under age boy.

OTOH, it may be a sign of the end. When you see the abomination that brings desolation sitting where it does not belong. Homosexuality, Bestiality, Incest, Adultery and Prostitution are all labeled as fornication/abomination in the bible. Heterosexual monogamy is not fornication, it is marriage.

Ok now I get it. you think a gay person would come to this site to find a opposite gender date? Still I see no reason to worry about offending same sex unions while at the same time saying young people who fall in love and have children are some how fornicators. Forbidding to marry is a doctrine of devils.

Ole Cattle,

Please don't act like Clint Eastwood. The 3 of us are grown men. I didn't threaten the guy. I'm sorry it appeared that way. Since I visit Portland, OR due to my best friend living there for the past 10 years, I thought (in theory) that it could be fun to have a face to face discussion with a bible scholar.

Although, I find it weird how you keep interfering? It's hard to tell if you mean well? Sometimes, I think you intentionally provoke people? I thought it was just me, but you do the same with other people. I don't get it, but I'll always invite you to have an honest, faith based discussion anytime assuming your motives are pure and sincere towards me.

Will,

When a stranger walks through a neighborhood and dogs that rarely growl or even bark at strangers, but usually are happy to see them -- when these "dogs" start growling and barking at a stranger....I have to wonder what's up with this guy?

Your opening sentence starts with:

"I know this is a sensitive subject..."

Then treat it as a sensitive subject.

You also come across way too defensive:

"I don't want to offend anyone..."

"No ill-intentions here..."

"...no prejudice here."

"I'm not racist either."

As Shakespere said "Methinks she protests too much."

Ease up a little Will....I am starting to think that you really don't have any bad intentions....it's just that your Intentions are badly phrased.

You've already broken the "Number of Threads Posted in One Week" record.

I hope that you don't have this same problem with associates or family or church members also.

Work with me here. Go back and read your questions. Then read everyone else's questions.

I an sorry to do this publicly...but privately, we've gotten nowhere. You are a Brother...please except this as coming from a Brother.

Peace
