Ephesians 5

15Be very careful, then, how you livenot as unwise but as wise, 16making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 19Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I love this verse, I see the comparison of being drunk with wine with being filled with the Spirit. It is like they are opposites ends of a scale. Wine like anything fermenting, is in natural process of breakdown and decay. In other words it is rotten, and filling up on rottenness and intoxication is to say the least unwise. :dunce:

Being filled with the Spirit brings life :bouncy: and being drunk in the Spirit is like a taste of heaven :yay: . And making melody in your heart is for all Christians not just a few gifted musicians. In fact, This is one thing that is sure to be in heaven. Whereas preaching will :waving: cease, singing praise to God will continue. :rocknroll:

Blessings

Dave :applause:
