The bible talks about heavenly messengers that look like men, but there were quite a few people that were translated, or raised from the dead and taken to heaven....so they could actually be humans for all we know. Maybe the ones you see are actually Elijah, Enoch, Moses, all the saints that were raised with Jesus...Bible doesn't really say. Could be angels also. Anyway...an angel is just a "messenger". I know when most people think "angel" they think "a being clothed in white with huge feathery wings"...but they also usually think of Satan as a "horned devil with a tail and pitchfork". The only place I can think of where it talks about "wings" would be on cherubim. But the bible has some pretty crazy descriptions of cherubim....with wheels, and four heads...anyway...guess my point is...who knows what "angels" really are, and who knows what they really look like? Psalms 18:10 talks about God riding a cherubim. Can't find any verses that describe the typical "angel" that we see in pictures. Maybe angels look like humans? Don't think anybody has pictures of them. Anyways...if anybody finds a verse I'd like to see it. I'm curious now.:goofball: :peace::peace: Post Reply

Posted : 13 Nov, 2009 02:44 PM I agree with what Ole Cattle said, and I also have to believe like Mark said too, that our image of angels and devils are not as accurate as it may seem, for if the devil can create such elaborate deceptions to mislead people then, how much more powerful is our God? Beauty has always been deceiving for man always wants what is beautiful to be good, and is often deceived for it. the angels unaware thing could easily be as such in reverse, for often we are frightened by things we perceive to be ugly, for true beauty comes from within. on that token, how many angels do you figure have been thrown out of churches for speaking the truth or for not being dressed quite right? View Profile History	angels? Posted : 13 Nov, 2009 06:42 PM It's nice to see you again in the forums, ManOfGod. I like this question. I think Ole Cattle hit the nail on the head. On another note... it's kinda of comforting in that a lot of people, myself included, wish to be able to physically hear from God. It's kinda cool knowing He can send his messengers down here to relay messages or thoughts without us thinking anything about it. Wow. Another way He is looking out for us. Post Reply

My experiences have left me with the feeling and knowledge of a very deep peace and reality, REAL is a key word here...along with feeling protected and cared for and a host of beautiful thoughts about life. A real experience that leaves my own sense of reality much stronger. But at the same time feeling like life in the realm of this world is a shallow shadow in a temperal mist in comparison to the realm of eternal heavenly spirits. So collectively we wonder and discuss the Biblical truth of angels; ( good topic by the way) And basically ask are they(angels) real and where are they? The short version, because books could fill libraries on this topic alone. Angels are real. Angels are more real than we are ( thats so hard to fathom). Which is also Biblical because we are at present a little lower than the angels. Some of the stories or better testimonies I've heard about angels floor me, I love to hear them. I'll step out in faith a step further...And say,"I believe there is an angel with each of us much of the time and sometimes more than one". Blessings Post Reply

Revelation 22:9 "See that you do not do that". Angels worship God. Isaiah 6:2-3 Seraphim angels with six wings; " Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts: The whole earth is full of His glory!" What if you meet an angel with six wings pushing a shopping cart and buying a few things at the store? It doesn't seem possible as things are now. Post Reply
