Posted : 2 Mar, 2026 12:18 AM In Matthew 19, Jesus replied to a young rich man, "If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 “Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” 20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” WHO WANTS THEIR TREASURE STORED IN HEAVEN? WHO WANTS TO BE PERFECT? In heaven, some follow the Lamb wherever he goes. (Revelation 14:4) These are those that did not defile themselves with women. Men who stayed virgins. God wants people to make a distinction between what is common and what is HOLY. We are in a time of GRACE, but who wants to be PERFECT? Post Reply

WalkNTalk View Profile History	Who wants to be perfect? Posted : 2 Mar, 2026 08:24 AM True, we are not perfect. I am far from perfect. I don't know any that are perfect or even close to perfect. But worse, I don't know even anyone that seeks to be perfect. More of us seek the other direction. I don't know if there is anyone that even tries to be perfect or aims to be perfect. People know the commands and do the opposite. Nice to waltz into heaven. Clearly, some will have more treasure there than others. Some of us will be lucky to have a shack. Post Reply

WalkNTalk View Profile History	Who wants to be perfect? Posted : 2 Mar, 2026 08:39 AM If we love Jesus, we will want to please him. If we love God, we will want to please him. Who loves God? Who loves Jesus? More of us do not seek to please God in anything we do. And some teach others to do the opposite of what the Bible teaches and want that taught in the church and say it's okay. Is there any hope for them? Post Reply

WalkNTalk View Profile History	Who wants to be perfect? Posted : 6 Mar, 2026 11:17 AM TRUE! Yet, as it is, HOW PERFECT ARE WE after we turn to the Bible and we turn to Christ? I don't know any perfect Christians, but it seems to me "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven." (Matthew 5:19) And it seems to me, those that love Jesus will keep his commands (John 14:15) and will obey his teachings (John 14:23) Those that do not love him, will not obey what he says. (John 14:24) So, who really loves Jesus? Post Reply
