Giving is not always Money but do not Leave it Out completely.

When people leave God out of their finances, they're going to have problems. Where does God fit into our finances ? Where He should be in every aspect of our lives at the very center.

Quote by a Godly Man in church ministry.

"Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth."

Deuteronomy 8:18

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)

Acts 3:6

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”

Matthew 19:27

Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” (Matthew 19:27)

Mark 10:28-30

Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!” “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.

Mark 12:42-44

But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

The poor widow indeed put in all she had to live on. Jesus says she actually give more than the rich givers because it cost all she had.

In another way, the story takes on a more sinister twist. What corrupt religious system would allow a poor widow to completely exhaust her financial resources⁉️Certainly not the order set up by Moses. Sadly, the false religious system that was lead by those who would eventually have Jesus on a cross were not much different than the corrupt and greedy false religious leaders and their systems today. In fact, one of our most popular and most wealthy “health wealth and prosperity” woman preacher said on live TV that it didn’t bother her at all if a poor person did without the necessities of live in order to give to her ministry‼️‼️Another “health wealth prosperity” wealthy false preacher said on live video that he took all the money a poor woman had after she complained about not having enough money. He promised that God will bless her for giving all she had‼️‼️Unbelievable‼️

According to God’s law, the rich give to the poor and needy not the other way around ‼️‼️

It is a mixed bowl of stew.

There is the likes of Judas who spoke of waste when a woman poured perfume on Jesus feet to prepare him for his burial. (Matthew 26 and Mark 14) Judas said, “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.” Some choose to store their treasure in heaven. Some view themelves as stewards given talents and that everything belongs to God. Some do that better than others. I know of three TV evangelists that would give for show. The Bible says that they have had their reward already.

Matthew 6:1-4

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

But people should be giving.

We are to honor God.

There are different ways we give.

We will be recognized by our fruit.

Abraham gave ten percent AFTER God had given him a great recovery (of his nephew Lot). He had already been blessed. Then he was blessed again by Melchizedek king of Salem.

I don't think that people should be rigid on their giving, but they should give. Those that sow sparingly, will reap sparingly. (2 Corinthians 9:6)

I think a number of causes are unworthy.

Find a worthy cause.

I agree, yes God blesses givers to HIS service.

Giving to false religious systems is not the same as giving to God.

I agree with you as well, we must be careful how we give and we must not give merely to receive the praise from men.
