God says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. " Modern psychology obscures sin, but actually villifies those that would address sin as evil. In the basic foundational doctrine of psychology, to address the "nature vs nurture" is the explanation of why we make choices that we do and to point the finger of blame at either our genetic disposition or the environment that we were raised in, for the choices that we make. I wanted to start a discussion of conflicts between modern psychology and biblical truth because psychology has been introduced into theology and I don't see that they are cohesive, in any way that I've been able to discern. A study of the founders of psychology and their worldviews also show extreme prejudice against the Lord and his words. But let's look at some examples of how psychology is in conflict with God's words. Psychology says that depression is a serious mood disorder characterized by persistent sadness, loss of interest, and other symptoms that interfere with daily life. God says that grief and sorrow are good things and not a disorder because they generate contemplation of the heart. "With much wisdom comes much grief and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." "Sorrow maketh the heart better" Jesus was a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief. Has anyone ever recognized conflicts between modern psychology and biblical doctrine? Does anyone have any examples of how they might compliment each other? Post Reply
LittleDavid View Profile History	Modem Psychology And Biblical Truth Posted : 5 Nov, 2025 10:41 AM I am in total agreement with you about the dangers of Freudian psychology along with its other anti-biblical cohorts‼️ In fact, too many Charitans have been brainwashed by the self-love, self-esteem and the self importance of feel good psychology. Hasn’t anyone read the biblical warning about the “…lovers of themselves…” We even have “Christians” reinterpreting scripture in order to justify and nurture their love of self. Case in point: Jesus said “love your neighbor as yourself…”. Sadly, these eisegetical self-love Christians think that verse means they’re supposed to fall in love with themselves before they can love their neighbor‼️‼️ But scripture truth affirms the fact that we already love ourselves because we feed and care for ourselves and we want good things for ourselves. Many so called Christians do not have Faith in God for healing. It is a Choice. Self love is the exact opposite of what Jesus teaches, but it's everywhere in this godless society and among those that bare the name of Jesus. Jung was the one that presented the "positive vibes" ideology and self love being a god within us. I even see it on a lot of female profiles here, which is not surprising, given the times in which we live. In by B.C. years, I studied psychology and I loved it because the philosophical ideologies ressonated with my antichrist heart, having been steeped into occult practices. Freud was a sexual deviant, Marx was an atheist, Lenin and Rogers were humanists, Pavlov and Wundt presented mind manipulation techniques, Skinner, James, Nietzscheetc were all antichrists. Yet it is their work that has shaped modern psychology to what it has become. I remember going to a gathering once where this witch was boasting that she was a "Christian psychologist" at a reputable practice. She laughed about the requirements, only being to sign a piece of paper that said "I believe in Jesus." New agers believe in a "Jesus," Joel Osteen believes in a "Jesus," Islam teaches of a "Jesus." The Catholics have one and so do the JWs, these are all examples of blasphemy. Maybe you can give an example of how someone has been helped in a good way that isn't adverse to sound biblical teachings. This actually gives me an idea to bring up another topic of how we can be deceived by our hearts. I just began reading through the forum discussions a couple of days ago. It seems that there are only a little less than a dozen or so people that engage in the discussions, but many more that view them, so I think it's a good thing to discuss topics that impact people's faith. In the meantime, the real Jesus warned that many will come in my name saying that I am he and that we are not to believe in false Jesus’s‼️ Psychology is not a science, some psychologists actually admit that and agree. In fact, the sum of it basically amounts to the mere groundless traditions of men combined with the doctrines of devils, all of which are contrary to the knowledge of God. Post Reply

This is true in such studies that cover criminal profiling. In this case psychology has more to do with the objective observational analysis of the criminal mind. Post Reply

I actually suspect that the reason for such common denominators signify particular classes of spirits or devils that posses people that show basic, common traits. Post Reply
