For example: Many “Christians” believe in evolution OR if they they reject evolution they at least believe in its “scientific” notions such as the extreme age of the universe—DESPITE—the EXTREME lack of scientific evidence for evolution and its false assumptions. In fact, he believes these modern copies were copied fairly accurately and most likely reflect the content of the earliest surviving copies. However, Bart contends that the original apostolic letters were lost long ago and we don’t know where these are, (true so far). So he theorizes that since we don’t know where these are and we don’t know for sure what these original autographs said AND because we have only surviving copies that were most likely the result of being copied from copies that were copied from copies copied by non-professional, careless and unschooled copyists, the real meaning of the Apostles original writings is so distorted and doubtful that we have no idea what the original authors intended. He demonstrates his theory by comparing its hypothetical message distortion to the telephone game where the first person whispers a message into the ear of a 2nd person, the 2nd person tries to whisper the same message he received from the 1st person into the ear of the 3rd person and so on to the last person. But by the time the last person receives the message it has become so distorted that the original message was so completely lost as to render it meaningless. Post Reply

Let's all write our own Bible. That is the solution to everything. We can have the New LGBTQ Plus version. We are further from the original all the time. I don't think people much hear the Bible being taught anymore. We are being taught something other than the Bible on the guise of Christianity. A new gospel. We can take our sins with us to heaven. All is okay except being rigged. We must be flexible. All manner of sin is okay. Post Reply
