We start by asking: What did He mean by what HE said when HE inspired the Scripture we read? But a very biblically uninformed person tried to make the case for church tradition “…rather than looking for the original author’s mind in the matter…”‼️‼️‼️ Here’s what she wrote, QUOTE: Seriously? You really need a new gig. Moonlight’s approach appears to start with her churche’s traditional interpretation of that verse rather than looking for the original author’s mind in the matter and his motive."END QUOTE You CANNOT make this stuff up‼️‼️ Is there any better reason why we have sooooo many contradictory interpretations of scripture⁉️⁉️ Anybody else wanna weigh in on this person’s “biblical interpretation” model? The verse is clearly explained in its original context and by an Old Testament cross reference passage. Some church traditions need this verse to endorse their false teachings about modern day miracles. But neither the context nor the biblical interpretation method renders such an invalid interpretation. Thoughts? Post Reply

"But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end." Psalm 102:27 It has nothing to do with a continuation of modern day miracles. It refers to Christ's deity. The false non-cessation movement today is a fulfillment of Matthew 24:24, Mark 13:22. II Thess 2:9, Rev 13:14, Rev 16:14. They are 100% of the Devil. Post Reply

I believe the church is to go by the Bible. The Catholic Church is more enshrined in tradition. But others replace the Bible teachings with traditions as well in a number of doctrines. My own view is that the church is to follow the Bible. To every question, we are to ask, "What is written?" The answer is "It is written." The reply is "It is also written." Paul said that we are not to go beyond what is written. It is unwise for us to replace the Bible with other ideas. Jesus spoke of people nullifying what God says for the sake of tradition. But how do we erase that from the church. More and more, the Bible is getting replaced more and more. Post Reply
