I'm sure you know the old saying by P. T. Barnum: "There's a sucker born every minute"
It's unfortunate there's so many who just don't seem to have enough common sense to see when they're being duped. If it wasn't for those types of people scammers wouldn't be able to stay in business.

For us, it is more Luke 4:25-27
25 I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. 26 Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. 27 And there were many in Israel with leprosy[g] in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”
Yep! Miracles aren't for everyone.
They say seeing is believing.
Then Jesus says, "Blessed are those who have not seen, yet believe." (John 20:29)
and no miracles will be shown for us. (Matthew 12:39, Matthew 16:4, Luke 11:29)
"Very truly I tell you," Jesus said, "whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these." (John 14:12)
Is the greater miracle that people believe without seeing?
Is the greater miracle that people come to Christ without seeing any miracles?
Maybe that is our greater work, but the Pharisees didn't fall for it.

John 6:66-68
From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Yep! Some feel duped, and some stick around for the long haul. But at times, we all feel lied to.

Yet when the Devil asks, he gets, (Job 1, Job 2, Luke 20:31)
and when the demons ask, they get. (Matthew 8:31, Mark 5:12, Luke 8:32)
Yett when we ask, we don't get.
Who is to understand it?
God seems to honor the requests of devils and demons more than his own people and more than our prayer requests. Who is to understand it?
It is like God wants to prove to Satan that people will still reverence God when he takes away the honey and you throw in the troubles. But who is to understand it? Who can understand the mind of God? Miracles are lacking and everyone wants a miracle. And The Prince of The Air is active while our prayers seem to go on the sideline.
Jesus says his yoke is easy and his burden is light.
Paul speaks of our light and momentary afflictions.
I don't know how easy Jesus' yoke was. He did not savor going to the cross. He says, "Pick up your cross and follow me." It is all life outside the Garden, and we pray a lot, but how much are our prayers honored? So, we must deal with that.
