Apologetics is defending and establishing the truth of the Christian faith. The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:1–5), by which our sins are forgiven. The isgospel is the most important of all messages anyone can ever hear. It is the power of God to salvation (Romans 1:16). The gospel that saves people from their sins, not apologetics. Apologetics is the branch of Christian theology that deals with defending and establishing the truth of the Christian faith. The goal of apologetics is not just an exercise to win arguments. It serves the truth of the gospel message and glorifies God by removing objections. The practice of apologetics is a tool that prepares the way for the gospel. That is why it is said to be the handmaiden of the gospel; it assists and clears the way for preaching the gospel.apologetics and the gospel, apologetics is the handmaiden of the gospel

Three Schools of Apologetics

Three main schools of thought deal with apologetics: presuppositionalism, evidentialism, and classical.

In Presuppositional Apologetics, the Christian presupposes the validity of the Trinity, the truth of the Bible, and the work of Jesus in His life, death, and resurrection. From that presuppositional base, the person demonstrates that only the Christian worldview can provide the necessary foundation to derive the laws of logic, the proper examination of evidence, absolute morals, universal truth values, and more.

In Evidential Apologetics, the Christian presents evidence for the validity of the Christian faith, such as the Gospels’ reliability, including eyewitness accounts of Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection. It presents archaeological and historical evidence and can touch on things like biblical miracles and fulfilled prophecies. Many other pieces of evidence can be presented, but the main idea is to introduce the nonbeliever to the facts supporting Christianity’s truth.

In classical apologetics, Christians rely heavily on logic and rational arguments. They seek to establish the truth of God’s existence and the validity of the Christian faith using various arguments, such as cosmological, teleological, and moral arguments.

Christians must glorify God and, hopefully, preach the gospel to people. Apologetics helps remove the barriers to the gospel message.

Conclusion

No matter what form of apologetics you might utilize, or a combination of them, the ultimate goal is to present the truth of what Jesus did on the cross so that God uses the power of the gospel message (Romans 1:16) and the power of God’s word (Isaiah 55:11) to bring glory to his name and draw people to faith

That would fit in with the Catechism that "mam's chief end end is to glorify Hod and enjoy him forever".

But I think I missed the part that explains the post title? Was it referring to a different thread?
