It isn't about capitalism or socialism. The gospel isn't about voting for trump or biden. The declaration of independence and the constitution are documents made by sinners. They aren't inspired. Then united states has never been a christian nation. The pilgrims and puritans were persecuted in england and europe so they came to these lands. But they persecuted, beat, killed and banished those whose faith differed from theirs. That is not the gospel of Christ. They believed themselves to be a new israel. As a result they governed their community by certain portions of the law of moses. It is just a form of judaism. Augustine started all this. He tried to win those who opposed him by persuasion. When they refused to join his church, he found justification in scripture to beat, imprison and kill those who opposed him. The bishop of rome agreed and was able to get troops to help augustine drive out those that augustine considered heretics. now jump ahead to the reformation.luther and calvin believed the same way that augustine did. they believed in beating, imprisoning Post Reply
Gracechristian^ View Profile History	The Gospel is About Christ Posted : 19 Mar, 2024 12:52 PM They hated the anabaptists. they saw them as a great evil. this is not the gospel. americanism is not the gospel. patriotism is not the gospel. it's strange that many of those who preach this corrupt gospel are premillenialists or pretribulational in their beliefs. I would amillenialists or post millenialists to believe this corrupt gospel. These people believe we are to set up the kingdom now. Christ said his kingdom is not of this world. if it were of thisworld, his disciples would fight. what gospel are you preaching? Post Reply

WalkNTalk View Profile History	The Gospel is About Christ Posted : 22 Mar, 2024 10:23 AM Then jump ahead to present day and the FBI with their lovely weaponry are kicking in the doors of pro-lifers and throwing them in jail over peaceful protests of abortion and sidewalk counseling and charging them with felony convictions for supporting life and love of babies and love for expectant mothers while they ignore vandalism and destruction and widespread looting and treat these as a peaceful protest. Yes, whole lot of degrading going on. Us men feel degraded in a number of things we read in these posts. Their are men haters and women haters and people haters. But did it ever occur to you, that some here are not just looking for anyone, but a particular type of person that embraces same or similar values? True, the Gospel is Good News and that Good News is about Jesus paying the penalty for sin so we have hope of heaven in Christ Jesus. So we agree to disagree on a lot, but in matter of Jesus Christ, he is Lord and Savior. Post Reply

It’s one thing to register your disagreement with another belief but it’s truly another thing to misrepresent what they believe or did or attribute to them criminal actions they never committed. The point is this: the truth is able to defend good men and it alone is powerful enough to destroy false ideas, false religions and even the great lie. Christians do not need to rely on false histories and disinformation to destroy whomever they perceive as bad people or their ideas. Post Reply
