Streetevangelist520^ View Profile History	Prayer is about submitting to God's will, not God submitting to ours Posted : 10 Jun, 2023 06:15 PM The Scriptures i'm going to base this discussion on are Matthew 6:5-15; Luke 11:1-4 and 1 Jn 5:14-15. Prayer is all about us as Christians submitting to God's will and purpose for our lives and not the other way around. Why is this? Because His ways are not ours and He knows what is best. Playing God only shows how stupid we are and plays right into the devil's hands and we forfeit our peace in Christ. God's timetable is not our timetable and also the purpose of prayer is to change us, not to change God, circumstances and other people. I admit that i have struggles in trying to change God, circumstances and other people and i'm beginning to realize that it is the other way around, that prayer is meant to change us into the image of Jesus. This teaching is convicting me again and i pray that it will do the same in Jesus name. Post Reply

Prayer is talking to God, you know that when you have that personal relationship. Holy Spirit also speaks! I received a book recently in the mail about Prayer . I ordered it from a good author. I won't disclose his name though, because of naysayers. Post Reply
